Movie was excellent

I am an ardent watcher of English movies, I have never seen a movie, which is so intriguing, different, complex and unexplainable.

If this is what you call different and complex movie than for u movies like The Sixth Sense are worth 100 Oscars, and i mentioned The Sixth Sense cause it was directed by M.N. Shyamalan. I dont know how can any Indian praise movie like SDM.

Sixth sense is nothing extra ordinary, just an average movie with a great twist at climax. SMD is far better than it.

I found SDM to be just an average movie. keeping aside all arguments wether it is fact or fcition, or even wether it is to be portrayed or now, is immaterial. In 2006 "Departed" won the oscar for best movie. Somewhere close to 2000, it was "Titanic". Compared to these 2 movies, SDM is just bullshit ( and not chocolate mixed with peanut butter).

If they loose life in jehhad due to kaafir action, they can go to heaven but this type of incident means a seatt in helll. Bush is more merciful in comparison.

The english people have always dominated us. Please guys don't get into their trap. Such movies should be protested and banned at the first go . I request all bollywood actors don't act in these movies. If u really want to change india do something good and stop cheap publicity

What do u mean Priya? It's a movie which has shown a fact about slums. This is how are slums are. Can u deny it? There is no cheap publicity in this? And if we have to change India, we citizens have to stand up. A movie like slumdog will never have an impact on India. We will remember it now and forget it later. India will never change as long we have corrupt politicians and narrow minded thinking people. Infact let us appreciate the fact that Danny Boyle has come forward showing us a movie about a slum dweller reaching great heights where on the other hand, we shoo away beggers. Think about it.

Very well said Priya. At least in future our so called superstars should stop working in such movies. I dont know why most of the Bollywood stars were dancing like c-r-a-z-y n-u-t-s when this movie was nominated for Academy Awards. Cause i also agree this movie is not Indian. Hollywood can show just poverty and slums in India in the name of creativity.

what do we have to show in return? a stereotypical version of how the poor hero beats up the villains and against all odds gets the rich heroine in his arms and it all ends grandly well?!

By this movie we have shown them waht they want see. They still feel india is poor country. i due repect Mr. Rahmanbut he feel that this award is life time achievemnet for him i am so sorry for that. At the first go only actors and musican director should have refused it. We should be proud to indian and not be ashamed of him.

FEEL that India is still a poor country???.Do you know the percapita income of India,Do u know the M>F sex ratio which is an important parameter to measure the development of a country.Do you know how many farmers suicided due to lack of proper government aid.DO you think that a few american and british offshore company?s gave us job and india is not poor anymore.Do u know the ratio of IT to Non-it professions in india.Do u know the rate of decline of fertile land due to mass civilisation??accroding to the latest census India still has its 80€ population below poverty line.

I know people like Angela keep saying that India is under developed. Ok, agree. But i personally believe that you r underdeveloped n s-i-c-k people. Every country in the world, and i mean every country have problems. But it doesnt mean that any British has got the right to make a joke of our country in the name of creativity. And we dont even need any half minded Angela to show where we stand.

I think SSS has got my idea wrong.I am a proud indian. And being away from there is a pain for me everyday.yOu could say that I miss my mother country more than anyone. And I am counting days before I come back home.
if u read carefully i have not mentioned india is under-developed.There are lot of economic, social and political factors involved in the development of any country and these decide the pace of growth. And all I wanted to say is that we cannot be detached from the poverty and tribulance of millions of indians which is a fiction for us but reality for them.We all are Indians and I just wanted to state that we need to be little bit more open eyed and sensitive towards our fellow citizens.
If you still think India is far off and there is nobody like the kids shown in the movie in India, then I think you are really in a dream world.People who cannot see the present correctly cannot build a strong future. And I hope that SSS don?t fall in that cateory.India Rocks and we will keep it rocking.Jai Hind.!

I agree again with you Angela. I am a HR professional and during a few training sessions that ive conducted, ive spoken about the human mind. It's a very complex machine which accepts facts what others say and refuses to agree with with the views of his own. So if someone says that the movie is bad, no matter whether u liked it or not, we go around speaking rubbish about it. We are being too narrow minded to accept certain realities. I dont understand what SSS meant when he said that a British made a joke of India. I didnt see anything of that sort which shows India in the negative. If India has to develop, we have to act. Sitting and cribbing about a movie wont help in anyways. I strongly believe that we Indians are meant only to crib. We sit and crib over spilt milk when the cat is drinking the whole of it. India will never change. Proud and at the same time ashamed to be an Indian
