The movie justifies the Nazi torture and killings. It is a brainwash. Kate winslet is a Nazi concentration camp torturer, who happens to kill many ladies and men in the camp. The movie sympathises with her.Its a devil in the mask of an angel.
Well movie plot is certainly a mess, no doubt about it. If it would have been made in hindi then everybody would have said the samething as Elvis. Movie is OK.
Never underestimate your readers, people who read rediff reviews are an experianced lot,I REQUEST REDIFF TO HAVE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF MOVIES AND ITS HISTORY TO REVIEW SUCH MOVIES,NOT SOME JUVENILE WHO HAS JUST GOT A DEGREE IN JOURNALISM

Couldn't agree with you more Pradeep ! Movies with a historical theme as their leitmotif should indeed only be reviewed by people who have a sound knowledge of History, not by absolute jerks and morons like Elvis D'Silva, who I doubt even knows what was India's Independence date month and year ! This damn fellow is completely misleading potential viewers of quality cinema, with his outrageous and utterly absurd reviews.
I mean he gave 2/ 5 for both 'Valkyrie' and 'The Reader', what could be more ludicruous than that !Both are fine films which probably deserved 4 / 5 (at least 3.5 /5); both depict the Second World War (widely regarded by historians as the most epoch-making war in the history of mankind thus war, owing to its sheer scale and intensity)but in such a wonderfully varied manner and are arguaby must-watch for the knowledgeable and discerning audiences.
Rediff is letting its viewers down very badly by getting a rank amateur like Elvis D'Silva to review history-based films. He should be replaced at the earliest...almost anybody would be better than him !
