It was not ARR who sold it. It is Times Music that was greedy to make money out of it (that too after getting Oscar award). ARR has IP over all his songs. But it is the music company that decides whom to sell and for how much. I dont think ARR will be getting any money out of it, bcos it is already owned by the music company, not him.

It is not Times Music, the copyright over Slumdog songs is with T Series and they sold it to Congress party. The deal was negotiated by advertising agency Percept.

It was T Series the greedy dogs. Rahman had even denied to compse music for the political party.
Let me start from the beginning. When i was young and was just getting acquainted the world you gave "chhoti si asha" to my "chhota sa dil" as i was getting into college u introduced me the magic of friendship by saying "don't worry mustafa" well as days went by i started singing"kya kare, kya na kare, yehkaisi mushkil Haye, koi to bata de iska hal oh mer bhai,ki ik tareaf to us se pyaar kare hum aur kehne ko hi us se kyon dare hum". but then "isq bina kya jeena yaaron" made me write" kissa of dil e bekarar" in a "khaamosh raat" which helped "mila taal" with my loved one and sing "hum hai is pal yahaan". well that was all during those heady days of "masti ki paathshaala" after which there was the terrible pain of "tu hi re", but you helped me get better with"o paalanhaare", when i went away from the country you reminded me on the return that "yeh jo des hai tera, swades hai tera tujhe hai pukaara" and when i came back you made me say"maa tujhe salaam". well thanks to you my "maula" is smiling back on me. only thing that i can say is "rehna tu hai jaise hi,thoda sa dard tu,thoda sukoon"
I love ARR for a long time, But after hearing the news that Cong Has the COPYRight for JAI GO song.I hate Him. How can he sold the song for a single party to use which perhaps won two oscar. Then why shold we celebrate his oscar winning momoent..........Only congress can celebrate his victory in oscar.........Ao Sorry to ARR....U too..........with the hands of Plitical party.....

AR had refused to compose music for the party when they had approached just bcs he did not want to get assosciated with the dirt.

Lucky to spend sometime with AR in Dallas. We had bought the tickets for AR rehman show which was to be held on a friday evening. A friend of mine told that he bumped into Rehman and his troop in a hotel on thu eve and got to know that they were put in a hotel which close to our office. A friend of mine Khasim and me didnt have much of a work that friday and decided to give it a shot to meet Rehman...and drove to the hotel where they had put up. We were surprised to see Hariharan n a rapper whose name i dont remember now...who raps in rehman songs...famous guy..we took pictures with them in the lobby...they were strolling there for a long time...when enquired about rehman they told he is in his room...somehow we knew we could meet rehman and thought we ll wait till he too comes to the lobby...long time but he didnt turn up...We overheard one of the troop member saying that he ll go the mosque for prayers...then we thought we can meet him then since he ll have to go thr lobby..it was around 1 ..rehman came down , we went and shaked hands with and spoke a few words...he went into a car where a few other guys were waiting for him...then we knew which mosque he wud go and thought will follow him..my friend didnt loose track of their vehicle ...we were just behind them...he got down in the mosque..the moment he and other guy got down ..my friend left the car with me imm and ran towards him since he didnt know abt the mosque..my friend khasim escorted him inot the mosque...

I parked the car and followed them into the mosque and i thought i ll also pray with them in the mosque...first time I enetered the mosque...i was here in the mosque with rehman and for the first time I ll be doing the namaz...friend guided me on the rituals ..wash the legs and hand...we entered the hall and sat with the others there...i too did the Namaz with the others...unbelievable ..me with AR Rehman and in the mosque..doing namaz..lot of things happening...being a great fan of AR it was one of the most special moments of my life...I found rehman is a very pious man...did his namaz...then he did some prayers after everybody had left...we were waiting for him to complete his prayers...he went and got the Quran and went thr it for sometime...when he was done we all came out of the mosque..the vehicle in which they came had not returned...so he was waiting with us...we took some pics...spoke to him...suddenly the other people there recognised him and lot of them came for pics...his vehicle arrived ..he thanked us and left the mosque....I found him to be a very soft spoken and gentle guy...he is very humble..I always cherish those moments:)
