does speaking hindi make one more Indian than others, utter rubbish. matter of fact is everyone prides themselves in being Indian irrespective of their language, some north indians with hindi fetish tend to great divides through hindi language.
Non-hindi speaking are as much Indians as those speaking hindi.
When initially girls were being voted out, and the judges were very strong about the fact, it was clear from then on that this time come what may a girl would become the Indian Idol; again, this is done so that more ppl are interested in seeing and voting the show; otherwise, Rajdeep and Prasenjit being voted out doesn't make sense...Kapil could not be shown the door, becoz the Kapil-Sourabhee affair was raising TRPs, and so talent suffers again.
The only consolation is that till date among all participants, every participant has gained more than the voted Idol himself/herself. for eg. Karunya, Minal, Monali, Amit etc. Pray where is Sandeep and Prashant nowadays ?

Why do u all think that all Indians need to look similar?Just because North-Eastern people look different doesnt mean we are not Indians.Thi attitude is not good for the unity of India.I pity the ignorance of such kind of people.

This is the greatness of India - very inclusive to all nationalities. Participate.
No other country they will support others. Fairplay award for Idol voters.

Instead of getting so mad. you can help explain the regional differences.
I know 100% one host on the field was Chinese. One guy and gal.
and See how many participants can't speak Hindi.

i think ,unlike the previous time, this time idian idol title has done to desrving talent.i am surprised some r calling her chinese, but actually she is a bengali from tripura
What a crap it was.......did u see the quality of voice ?even a school going kids sing better than contestants. The emaphasis was more on presentation & dancing than a singing.I wonder whether it was really a singing competition.
saurabhi and kapil shared a onscreen love affair thats why theyw ere kept till the end to increase the TRP. else many more singers were there who sang well..she doesnt havea voice..oh yes she deserves it..when the judge is Anu Malik and sonali bendre is judging a single talent..then saurabhi needs to be crowned..plzz give some good singers..nt models..who are 4 feet tall..
