I like this movie because of not its story or cast, but because it doesn't have a single shot taken in Punjab or a punjabi song. All the bolloywood movies will either have a song or atleast a shot taken in Punjab. What is there is Punjab? Why can't they to go to other states? Whom they are trying to please? Everyother movie will only potrait as Punjab is a the biggest state. I am happy that this movie doesn't have a punjabi song or a scene from a Sardar. Good one...

Yo... you stole my thoughts man.. Punjab is the central theme in most Yash Raj films because it has SRK as some Raj/Rhoit/Rahul Malhotra returning from the US/Uk and suddenly singing in mustard fields, drinking Lassi and dancing to bhangra with that constipated look on his face

In Mississauga Canada - it did have a very slow start and some foreigners in the audience were kinda wondering what to expect - but it did not take long for it to pick up and then it was a superb movie all the way through with award winning performances.
Mr. Sen, This time you are absolutely right. Yesterday I watch this movie and it was really really unbearable. I dont know what happen to chopra banner. I m big fan of chopra banner movies (aditya or yash chopra) but this New York is really crap.

Mr. Mukesh..why don't you come out of Chopra camp for a change and face the realistic world and other issues? How long can you smell the stale stink of Romance created X number of times by the Chopras?? GROW!
This guy Raja Sen is born and taken Avataar jus to criticize movies and say all the bullhit has has in his sleeves. He doesn't know the pains The producers, directors and teh entire movie team takes while making a film and what he does is thrashes each and every movie and thinks he is creating some ideal English language statements. This critic is a bull shit. Guys these movies are meant for our entertaintment & awareness. Just watch the movies its absolutely a good awareness entertainment movie. yes there are some flaws but look every movie got some flaws. these critics had give such a good verdict for OM Shanti Om even before its release. And everybody knows apart from glamor rest all was a old story. Just watch the movie & make ur decision its a good movie. Specially you got good acting from the guys you don't believe they are good enough. Neil, Katte & jhoney everyone is good in it yaar. See the movie yaar.

they want srk dancing a crap movie like om shanti om and worst ever horror movie rab ne bana de got better stars than newyork which is far far ahead of these movies.If u can understand cinema these critics just like to lick srks assssss.

I agree. I am not against SRK. He is a good actor..but how long can you see DDLJ in different formats? How long can you see him copying Amitabh or Dilip Kumar? He should do more movies like Chak De or Swades and prove his critiques wrong.
I have got a feeling that this movie is neither as good as four starts on IndiaFM (Taran Adarsh), and nor as bad as one star on rediff (by Raja Sen).
I think that producers of the movie have paid money to both the reviewers.
Raja Sen has got a reputation of giving bad reviews to good movies. And this is a well known fact among rediff readers. Therefore it makes sense to pay him money for giving a bad review.
