First and foremost no need to compare any 2 people especially 2 or more great people. We can’t compare MK Gandhi with Madendela or Mother Teresa. We simply love them and thank god for giving these kinds of people to us. Bz they worked and made us happy so many ways.
Similarly we can’t compare ARR with RDB or Illayaraja. First and foremost they all legends, they all great music composers. You won’t like RDB score now or now u can see illayaraja not liked by his current music. Even his son is more famous than illayaraja now. That’s how world moves. For last 2 decades ARR is King of Indian music. Nobody can take away that. Even after 2 decades, pls go and listen to the Delhi 6 songs, my god, who ever oppose should shut their mouth. Superb songs. Ofcourse still Illayaraja is great in 80’s music and same way RDB.
If u like him then happy for that. If you don’t like him then keep hearing RDB or Illayaraja, y ur taking painful effort to oppose ARR. World is nt listening to ur words they listen to his beautiful music. It shows ur simply jealous that ARR getting more popularity than ur favourite.
Any art or sport or anything better not to compare. Simply enjoy and love whatever u like. Last decade Sampras made us happy same way tendulkar etc. No need to compare. similarly Just listen to music and enjoy. They all made our moments so happy by wonderful music.

It was because of Gandhi that we have so many duplicate Gandhi's in Congress. If MK Gandhi didnt give his surname to Indira's husband and indirectly to her also, the Nehru clan would be known as Nehrus only. His mistake is regreted by many.

Dearest Michael, IN this world there is something called Truth . I know two truths. One is Gandhi thought of dissolving Congress seeing the corruption coming up after Independece. The other truth is Gandhi is not a Saint, or Messaih, or Prophet or some bullshit who could predict future. He was a Man , a simple Man (!) who never thought something as inane as using his surname in the Indian politics will be done by the Congress, for the Congress, of the Congress.

Dear Harish, I agree with your views on Teresa. But I disgree with you when you call Gandhi a Mahatma and father of this nation. Our country has a history of more than 10,000 years and there were so many great Sadhus, Rishis and Kings. In fact, the contribution of Gandhi to our freedom struggle is negligible. His only contribution is appeasing of Muslims and creation of Pakistan to help Nehru to become PM of our country.

no doubt RDB was grt music composer ,but u his tune r lift from western side eg hear BoneyM , ABBA etc. But the compositon of Andhi , Kushboo, Pariche etc r really fantastic

Laggan, Tall music is great, but Swadesh & Delhi 6 are not 100% good music, only 1 or 2 songs in these movies are good.

ARM cannot be compared with RDB. RDB is much far better than ARR if you'll compare the music, otherwise both have different gener of music.
What a bad misguiding title for his article. I came to find out how Rahman almost became a driver and many other things are mentioned except the explanation for the title.
Did he want to become driver for aeroplanes or buses or taxis?

Yes. As far as I know, he almost decided to become Truck Driver when he was in touch time and was not getting enough contract for music (Jingles).
Regarding title, you are right. something should have been mentioned about title...
i am seeing very much anti-Rahman elements in this forum..these half baked people will never

Rahman,name of thses composers pop up..there lies gr88ness of Rahman..No composers have given so much variety than AR..though im not from south i am bowled over by his tamil numbers..I listen and respect all previous artists but i feel void in my herat when i don't listen Rahman..satisfaction only comes through his music..especially background music

don't go with your personnel interest/feeling here...What you like, other people will not care...ARR is good with todays genere of music, but RDB is always good and his music is very suthing to your ear if you have sence of music..ARR is also very good music director and sometimes you feel good with his music too...
Certainly as said, the capabilities and capacity to be the best is not specific to a race, religion, or cast. Its just the personal belief and conviction that propels to be excellent.
Mr A R Rahman has contributions to Indian music which are now known across the world. He has earned name, recognition and respect for India.
There is definetly lots of information about ARR in the media now. Writting a biography about him is not needed, when the biography is also not authorised by AR Rahman.
