Re: Re: I met this legend and made him talk for five minutes to m

I talk to him everyday....... he is my neighbour,he comes and discusses about his music with me before he leaves for the studio
Since he got fame in Bollywood, the real Rahman of the 90s has disappeared. The Rahman who gave such classic and pure music hits like Roja, Duet, Thiruda Thiruda, Gentleman. Rangeela was his last good work. I don't count Dil Se or Lagaan as good work from him. And the worst was he got Oscar for a music which is shoddy at best. Pure and unadulterated Rahman died in the mid 90s.....but many fools who think any "slightly better" music is best music nowadays still go gaga over him....

Harris Jayaraj had done most of his music as his assistant.Once Harris left Rahman we can clearly distinguish the clarity in the music of 90's and after 2000. A.R.R may be half potential now.

any other songs of Harris that you can remember other than Vaseegara? I can count at least 25 songs on my fingertips that I love and are made by Rahman.

If that were the case, then Harris Jayaraj should be as good as AR today, going by your 50-50 theory!

HR are not known coz they decided to stick to tamil movie industry and give good music there...did not clamor for fame in bollywood like rahman...another good music that HR gave was in 2005 to ghajini...they have superb talent to make haunting music...

You're nothing but one of those uncles who keep bragging about their yesteryears, "you see, when we were young, things were so different, so good!". Stop whining and start living life.

AR Rahman became a Muslim after contacting sufis and his character is deeply influenced by islamic sufism. So you should read about Sufism. You can get books in english written by Idries Shah.

Islam is the most sweetest & practical way of life. Unfortunately the followers misunderstood and defamed the religion. I pray that the Almighty guide people like you to righteousness

Dear Noor, U should pray that the misguided in your religion take to righteousness first. That would solve most of the problems

Religion is never a path to success. In fact the current world can very well do without religion. No need of it at all. Listen to you heart thats all.
Hard work and single minded working towards your goal is what will get u success, certainly not religion.
