plot is ok - it is fact. many smart idots in our bolly ind. are doing the same. Mr. warsi has always a comic gesture and can be digested. Chunky no more funky and should be kicked out. Mr. Khanna getting converted into Deol.. he shouts like sunny praji in every other movie, only difference is that of a 'dhai kilo ka haath' wala dialogue. Imagine Gadar Part 2 - starring Akshay Khanna.. ha ha ha... enjoy folks... long week ahead to work
God knows when this bollywood c.h.u.t.y.a.s will start making there on films. they have copied from a gr8 mallu movie Udayananu Tharam..were this shortcut-shit comes nowhere near that movie......pathetic.
Not bad??!!! guys this is the most pathetic movie I have seen (extremly unfortunate that I am) so my advice for all those who see the above review - Don't fall for this so called 'Not Bad' review status, it's a complete con, Newyork which has a one rating is far better so just don't waste you hard earned money of such shitty movies..
Basically it is the lack of artistes (actors/comedians) of the caliber of Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Sreenivasan etc which makes such a joke (is that a pun) out of the remakes of Malayalam movies... I hope Priyadarshan and his disciples would stop doing it

I feel Bollywood should ban all Mallu remakes. It is not in touch with Bollywood ethos and great films like Dilwale Dul............... All Mallus like Priya - Darshan and the likes of Murugadas should be banned from Bollywood. They are giving hindi films a bad name with their imbecile storylines and loud directiorial attempts. We should regain the glory of Dev Anand and Tarachand Barjathiya. Devsaabs filums like Heera Panna, Ye Gulistan Hamara were masterpieces - fit to be included in any curriculum of film studies. Let Bollywood ban remakes of Southie movies which were originally copied from Hollywood stuff. Bollywood definitely has in it to copy Hollywood films directly - Rishi Kapoors Rafoo Chakkar based on Good Children Dont Kill is a good example. Or his own Karz based on Peter Proud. Or Sholay from the Maginificient Seven. So why take an indirect route now. Is it because great copy artists are in short supply at Bollywood
Next Bollywood may remake Passenger, 2 Harihar Nagar.
And dont forget, Passenger Hindi remake will have lots of songs and dance by Papa, Moma, Dada, Dadi, Mama, Mami... and their NRI kith/kins :D
It will take a while for Bollywood's condescending m or ons to come to terms with FACTs and accept movies of other Indian languages.
But when that happens, it will be a welcome change for Bollywood fans that skilled movie making and acting exists elsewhere in India in place of pomp and hype they are used to.
Director didnt apply anymind to this movie to make it as a simple story. Awful storyline up. acting skills are wasted by arshad, akshay and amrita. movie simply makes u feel headache. nthg else. Guys better watch Transformers 2 and the proposal instead of this awful crap.

I agree to your view. Hindi films dont have any creativity. They are copying hit films from other languages. Try to come with some original movie.

When you talk of creativity you must also know that the malayalam film is itself lifted from the english movie Bowfinger and Big fat liar.

Udayananu Tharam is not lifted from BowFinger. What forms the whole of BowFinger is just a 5 min. scene in Udayananu Tharam. If you call that lifting well... Big gat liar also involves script stealing. That doesn't make it a copy.
