Hum log and malgudi days the two stand out serials that are unforgettable!! these serials brought out the rich culture tradition and heritage for which India is associated and made us proud to be INDIAN!!hats off to them!!
Hum log guys did a shot near my home in delhi once. I did not know what was going on initially but then i saw BASESAR in his standard costume. He was eating matar paneer with rice sitting outside the house on a chair alone.

what about malgudi days!! wonderful ,original serial and we were all proud to be associated with it! it just made us so proud of our culture and nation!
of star trek, show time, idhar udhar, spider man cartoon, he-man, vikram betaal, sinhasan batisi, chote baabu,sunday evening movie, chitrahaar, chayageet, may vacation would be spent with comics of phantom, mandarek, flash gordon, bahadur, tinkle, amar chitra katha, tintin . Wish i could get those back.

phantom bahadur mandrake archies wow man those were the days!!! now I dont find younsters reading & exchanging comics like we did!
hum log was great. i remember comming back home from school and watching Hum Log (It was 1988) in doordarshan. Those days only DD was there. Hum LOg was really a great serial.
Home entertainment meant Doordarshan.Can one ever forget Hum Log,Buniyaad,Nukkad and Mujrim Haazir? Elegantly dressed Neethi Ravindran and Rini Khanna reading out the news.Breaking news meant breaking news.Rajiv Gandhi used to hog the media more than even film stars.The eagerly awaited Sunday evening movie.Chitrahaar on Weds and Fridays...it was an era that would never ever return.

if you have not seen hum log then dont try to watch it coz it was really a very slow serial but was a big hit at that time .And it was a much better serial comparing saas bahu kind of serial of present
