This is not the first time that SRK has done a charitable act. Previously, one Kashmiri Pandit family met with a car accident and SRK paid all their hospital expenses. Then one child called Lakshmi who was born with physical disorder (extra 2 legs) and was getting operated in Bangalore got a hefty sum of operation money from SRK, who strictly didn't want to speak to the media about this. Then he regularly pays a visit to terminally ill children, that too when media is not around. He does all this not for some cheap publicity but because he is indeed a good human being. And the fact that he loves children is quite famous. Whatever his detractors, including Aamir and Akshay say is all foolish and ridiculous because they know how much ever they try they can't become a good human being like him. And whatever reports fly around about his sexuality is another ridiculous statement, just because he doesn't have multiple affairs with his co-actresses and is loyal to his wife, some section of media talks about him likt that. Moreover if he is really not straight then from where did his two children appear "FROM THE SKY". He is indeed true hero, both Real 'n' Reel. May God Bless him and save him from his ebnemies who are just waiting to pounce on him given a chance.

he did not make any publicity of his charity works, he never spoke of this in any of his interviews or statements. So just shut up.

when SRK was hosted by most of the media after 26/11,he didn't make a cheap publicity to his new movie but he was in point & respect people feelings becos he is a respectable man

well said Alpana! he had given part of his earnings to victims of grinade attack during his show in Srilanka..i am willing to release this kind of news from whatever reason it could be, atleast its about two lives..what abt all the crap we read abt how one made body or biography or some shit music videos

Stars like Dilip Kumar and Sunil Dutt did more charitable work though they did not earn crores. They never boasted through PR journalists and there was sincerity in their work. Cricket greats like Steve Waugh also do regular charity. It is easy to do charity when you are flush with funds, but difficult when you have to beg like Mother Theresa to do charity.

Many film stars and even TV actors do charity on a much larger scale. Does SRK wants his charities published so that he can win more awards during this award season? And a Padma bhushan as well.

JUST AN FYI... SRK is very particular about his charity. He never discloses his charity work done. I had been to rock on concert where every celebrity came in and announced that how much have they given in Charity. But SRK came and chose not to speak abt it, Sophie Chaudhary just made an announcement that he has donated a heft amount but SRK never does any publicity unlike others and one more thing my brother, If you dont like SRK thats understandable but would request you to atleast not hate him so much that you even try to malign him for any good deed. This is rubbish. In fact this is not SRK but the doctor who gave this info. He doesnt need to display his good deeds for people to know. We all know he is an intellectual, Intelligent, Highly Educated, Esteemed and a wonderful Human being unlike many others in the industry.
