Haha, well, despite this review, and the people's opinions on here, I liked the movie. It has a really nice concept behind it, and it's a good family-oriented movie...one Bollywood has not produced in a long time. All of the actors slipped into their roles perfectly, and the movie kept me interested. I agree, the item numbers, and some of Shahrukh's extensive scenes were not necessary...but nevertheless, it was a good movie, and people should give it a chance. It's not a full Irfan Khan movie, I would say Shahrukh has an equal role, so don't be scared to watch the movie because it's based on Irfan Khan...though his parts are the most interesting. I really hope it picks up in the next few days; Ghajini has already broken all of the records, how many times are people going to watch it? It's time for a change.

I don't know how long Sharukh makes flop movie a hit! content: Sharukh is shooting a film & villagers are crazy to meet Sharukh. The script should go to garbage.
soniye, soni, marjani .... can't we get off this punjabi crap? over and over again. these clowns just want to get catchy by repeating some rhyming words, so street urchins can sing loudly.
IRFAN IS A GOOD ACTOR.THE MOVIE SEEMS GOOD. MOREOVER RNBDJ WAS UNDERPROMOTED LIKE ANYTHING BUT THEN ALSO IT WAS A BLOCKBUSTER. HOWEVER IT SEEMS IT'S SUCCESS IS OVERSHADOWED BY GHAJINI.BUT STILL RAB NE WAS A WONDERFUL PIECE.NO ONE TALKS OF THIS MOVIE SUCCESS LIKE MEDIA DID FOR SINGH.. ,JAANE...&GHAJINI.
I am never going to see or buy music Cd for this movie for the simple reason that there is no musical beauty either in music and more so in lyrics. We are not garbage eater who will accept everything in the name of songs - what nonsense is this 'marjnani, khasma khani' .have decent words have disappeared from the poet's dictionary.
Hope this will be another flop show. Priyadarshan should stop remaking the films from other language to Hindi. Dear Priyadarshan people are really bored of you, how long you keep repeating the same drama and tragic comedy on the screen. Give us a break!!!!
Going by the promos, it seems neither SRK nor Priyadarshan has learned the lesson from the Rajnikant starrer and tamil's worst DISASTER of 2008 KUSELAN which was also the remake of the same Malayalam movie Katha parayumpol.
Kuselan was also a remake of the same movie but since it had Rajni in place of malayalam's Mammooty they had to compromise with more screen appearance and songs etc. and finally ended as a DISASTER in box office of tamil films though it had Rajni (remember not every movie that has rajni as hero will not run, finally he too need some decent story and good screen play. Now they have done the same in Hindi version also,it seems so by the promos, since in Hindi its SRK, &they have considered his fans.
In the meantime,they have forgotten its a story of a simple man, that irfan portrays,but the audience who come to cinema halls, specially SRK fans, after seeing Marjani, would not be able to digest this very fact and at the end of the day it would run as a FLOP as what happened to the tamil version. I hoped priyadarshan would give full justice to the original story as in Malayalam, as what he did in Bhool bhulaiya, saying the exact story without any alterations, but seems he too has fallen for SRK's stardom and compromised the beautiful story for the SRK's increased screen presence. Finally hats off to Mammooty, original version actor, who never hesitated to do a cameo,since the story required to do so& made a real hit & more so a very good movie!

yor are complaining that priyadarshan and p.vasu forgot the commonman barber and fall for the superstaRDOM. BUT IT SEEMS YOU YOURSELF FALLEN FOR SUPER STARDOM. YOU ONLY MENTIONED THE SUPERSTAT MAMMOOTY AND FORGET THE MAN PLAYED THE COMMONMAN, SREENIVASAN, WHO ALSO PENNED THE BEAUTIFUL SCRIPT.

Finally hats off to Mammooty, original version actor, who never hesitated to do such a cameo,since the story required to do so& made a real hit & more so a very good movie!! (which both rajini and SRK dare to do!!)
and of course one more time hats off to Akshay, who accepted the story of Bhool bhulaiya as it was in Malayalam, with out making any change like in the tamil version chandramukhi, again a rajni starrer and a massive hit in tamil. Accepted the story as it was and acted (remember his screen presence starts only in the middle of the movie and still he was remembered for that movie)
Looks like most of the people are saying that Billu Barber will be a huge flop. Well, in some ways, maybe. In my opinion, the first is because it doesn't feature SRK as the lead role. Secondly, the atmosphere of the film is quite dull. But in certain ways, I don't think it will be a flop. This film will be a hit at least, though obviously not a masterpiece. Because the songs are not that bad. They're nice eg: Marjaani Marjaani, Love Mera Hit Hit and Khudaya Khair. They're the main attraction for people to watch this film. And of course the big stars in the industry who are making special appearances, including SRK himself. Well, let's just wait for this film to come out this 13th Feb alright? But surely, I'm not putting my hopes too high on this film. If SRK isn't in the film, I won't watch it, though it's his production house's.

Yes.. its just hype..even the few fans existing for SRK will dump him after thinking why SRK produced and acted such a film..

The fact is that, juzt bcoz SRK is associated with this movie, this is gonna be a super hit, though not a blockbuster !!!
