Useless names of Movies
by Mahesh Kulkarni on Jan 14, 2009 09:44 AM  | Hide replies

Why Movies have English Names? If any non-indian is involved in film-making then English names are OK(Like Slumdog ..) . This bad trend is also started in Regional films. This should stop.
I watchced movie Wednesday the movie is good but why this name?

The name was very meaningful.
Wednesday is the day when all "it" humans comes out(nor male not female).
Director was telling people that if you cannot do what hero has done in the movie, then come out of home on Wednesday only.

Manjit I appreciate your sincere effort to explain. But anyway its odd to give English names. I feel.
Lets stop discussion on this subject. Also I agree with the common feedback to this movie is such movies should not be made.

Is sections of Bollywood more anti-national than Dawood / Kasab
by Fried Yakov on Jan 14, 2009 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

Is sections of Bollywood more anti-national than Dawood / Kasab? This is the question that haunts my mind. Did more than 200 people die so that some Bollywood guys can make money?

I don't mind this movie being released. I see that the fire amongst the people has died down after 50 days of this unfortunate incidence. I don't see the people exerting enough pressure on the Govt to take concrete actions. I see that that the Govt is making a laughing stock of India by begging others to take steps, rather than taking initiatives. In India, movies have a great impact on the mindsets. It will also reach those people who have felt the sensitivity of the attack.

no. They are making movie just to show to the people that government have no rights to say "NO" to such movie.
Government is not taking any actions so why a common people should care?
Did government did anything to make you feel proud as an Indian?

What a irresponsible statement.. Manjit. If nobody does anything you will not also do anything. Do whatever you can. Remember the squirrel in Ramayana who helped Rama to build bridge.

We never learn !!
by manoj ak on Jan 14, 2009 08:38 AM  | Hide replies

When 9-11 happened ,hollywood decided there wont be a movie made of that incident !
Look at our scum bags at bollywood... already the industry is full of male and female strippers...and now we have terrorists being highlighted !!
Eventhough it says...its a lesson for fidayeens ,Iam pretty sure the first half will present the terrorist as a dare devil !!

And dont be surprised if Kasab makes a guest appearence in the movie , under UPA minorities get priorities , As of now terrorists are minorities in India!!

Anyways the movie will be housefull in Porkistan!!

Indian movie industry (not bollywood) should not be blamed. Why we should follow the steps followed by US? If anybody is unfolding some truth and in the process making money it is fine rather than sitting idle at homes.

We should say something to government when they do not do anything against terrorist.
We have no right to say anything to Bollywood. I'm sure Bollywood will never think of make such movie if goovernment would have taken harse steps against paki.
