On emovie that should have been considered for Oscar is Tahaan. If this movie had been made in a similar model, but in Yugoslavia or Iran, it would even have won the award.
The Indian govt. and Indian film fraternity is a douche-ball for not having taken Tahaan that far. What an awesome movie. When Raja Sen had written his 'bext 2008 movies', he rightly commented on the wonderful emotions of the movie versus what movie Aamir depicted.
And the lead actor of Tahaan did an awesome job. No wonder he is being considered for a Hollywood movie.
If you have seen Slumdog Millionaire, it would be a shame to ignore this totally Indian product 'Tahaan', directed by an Indian - Santosh Sivan ( except for a few executive producers and screenplay writers).
Rahman is definitely excellent but for us there are many other songs of his that are better than Jai HO.So Oscar does not mean that Jai HO is the best . It was only 'Wali' as competitor.

I cannot understand how revolutionary road is a good movie. Except for the histronic act by Kate Winslet, there is litrally no story for this movie. It is just a bulshit movie. 'The reader'in which Kate Winslet acted, was a good one.

I can guess why you like 'The Reader'. First 40 minute movie was too much to be called as a good movie (series of porn shots) but remaining part of The Reader was just damn good. Anyway it does fall in Top 10 movies of 2008 so cheer up.
Coming to your kiddish words on Revolutionary Road reflects something about your taste of movies. Maybe you liked Hancock or Mama Mia! BTW, I forgot to write Top 5th movie of 2008 - Wall-E :)

The ten-year-old boy who was tired from yesterday's long-haul flight from Los Angeles and had wanted to be left alone refused his father's request to leave the shack and face curious onlookers.
Just days ago as one of the movie's child stars he'd walked the Oscars red carpet in glamorous clothes but now back in the slums he was being slapped around the face.

Congrats to A.R.Rahman and his team for winning an Osacr. But the song is really poor sonsg and nothing left to discuss about it. It is really a very average one. Probably they are lucky enough to get oscars
