billu with 17 crores in 1 week is a hit and Delhi 6 with 13 crores in 1 day is a flop...u r nuts! visit the nearest psychiatrist asap!!
I would have rather studied for my boring exams rather than watch this movie. Awful direction, SRK is annoying, please do yourself a favour and dont watch this movie
see first of all it dont have srk in lead .. so it will not get opening as his earlier films.. secondly if u say srk movies crap then vat u would say to akshay's last five movies-cc2c singh is king most crap movie ever made in bollywood, tashan ,welcome, hey babby.. one thing is sure in every film srk touches audience emotionally like in billu last 20 minutes, chak de india, rnbdj ,swades-best movie made in bollywood in recent times.. billu is far better than cc2c at least it didnt have stupidity of akshay and priyadarshans earlier movies

dude cc2c is the highest grossing film of 2009 though it flopped but its net collection is higher than any other films released in 2009, Dheli6 I think will be a big hit.
It almost ruined my weekend. I was confused to go to Billu or Dev d ...my friend said lets see Billu but i tell u it's Horrible movie..We can not wait till interval to get out and go for Dev d....which was surprisingly turned out a Good one.
I would say watch Dev d for something different.It's like u can't judge a book by it's cover !

Billu managed to collect pretty well overseas due to the presence Shahrukh Khan. It grossed 2 crore in United Kingdom, 2.50 crore in North America and 2 crore in Middle East. Total overseas business was around 8 crore.
WHERE DOES IT SAY ITS SUPERHIT OR ABOVE AVERAGE, DUDE YOU MAKE UR VERDICTS UP, IT MIGHT DID A LITLE OK IN OVERSEAS BUT THAT DOESN'T CHANGE FROM THE FILM BEING A LOSS SINCE ITS SOLD FOR 35 CRORE AND TO BE A HIT IT NEEDS TO DO BE ATLEAST ABOVE 40 CRORE.

Dude thats still not good for a film sold at 35 crore, and read all the other reports, the site also said CC2C collected pretty well in india but still flopped since it wasn't enouh and did not do well worldwide, and you think with a 30% opening its superhit, lol i'm laughing at your blind statement. And whats important is how well it does in india.

Billu showed a big drop in collections all over on Monday. The all India business on Monday was 1.75 crore approx taking the films four day nett business to 15.25 crore approx.
The film seems to be heading for 19-20 crore nett business over first week at best making it a below par performance for the first week against its acquisition price by the worldwide theatrical distributors Eros. The investment by Eros for India and Overseas theatrical is around 35 crore including release costs.
Billu did not deflect as much as Kuselan from the main plot. Nayantara’s skin show and unwanted toilet humour by Vadivelu had killed Kuselan. Thankfully most of the comedy in Billu was in line with the story. The film is well done and even the item numbers have been inserted without much distortion to the story line.
SRK has also inserted his views on celebrity life, media and the longing of a celebrity to be a common man. The ’Khan vs Khan’ panga was termed as a personal affair within a ’family’. But I hope SRK doesn’t expect his fans to be like what was shown in the film. Or maybe its just that I have not seen his fans jumping in front of his Bentley to show ’I love U’ written on their chest!
Analysis: the story is a bit different and treated well. The set and the characters look real. The congested chowk of Budbuda with people sitting in the roof of the bus is a very real picture.
The dialogues are well written and their rustic tone will surely attract you. The comedy is situational and not forced........after a long time from Priyadarshan’s stable. in recent past, his movies became quite loud. but this one is different and have those earlier charms.
Irfan Khan is as usual superb as Billu. He emotes optimum. Neither less, not over the top. The scenes where he is trying to maintain his dignity as a poor ‘no one’ is really appreciating. Lara Dutta is gorgeous and delivers a nice performance as a rustic woman. ( I was feeling almost frustrated to see such a slim mom of two…..). SRK plays himself. There are cameos from Om puri, Rajpal Yadav etc. that creates a lasting impression. Overall, a nice, enjoyable movie. However, the songs are not at all impressive.
The main lead of the film, Irrfan Khan, gives a topnotch performance! It’s a treat to see how this competent actor can play so many different roles with so much ease. He performed the role so naturally and perfectly that it feels as if he has been a villager all his life! A fantastic actor, indeed!
Some of the best scenes of the film: 1. The first scene 2. SRK’s entry (fabulous) 3. All songs (except ‘Ae Aa O’) 4. Scenes of Choubey 5. Billu at the shooting site 6. The intermission point 7. Damchand (Om Puri) presenting Billu a new chair! 8. Sahir with the school authorities 9. The last 30 minutes (excellent!)
On the whole, Billu Barber is a nice, feel good film with an excellent climax which will surely strike a chord with the viewers.
