The review is not balanced and focussed only on the CONS. It takes great mastery to make a film on beggers and bala has the mastery. This is not a movie on Aghor Saint and is a movie on beggers and how an Aghor saint saves them. When you compare screen time of Vikram in pithamagan and Aarya in this movie, then Vikrams screen presence is much more less than Aarya...but he go on to the national awards. Although the entire screen minutes of the protagonist is less than an hour, each shot has been shot meticulously with Aarya and they are never seen before scenes in history of indian cinema.
The back ground music is brilliant...The Stunts are great.
The Main drawback of the movie is the dialogues spoken by Rudran. Most of them are in Hindi or sanskrit. They form the soul of the movie and the character. But since no one can understand them...its true that we cannot understand the Character Rudran.
Its a great movie on the most downtrodded section of our society. Inspite of the all the CONS one can identify with the movie, this still remains a Masterpiece as this remains the only film, that throws light on the crude, terrible and sorrowful life of lakhs of beggers living in India. We should congragulate Bala on that.

Guys, I saw the movie. Absolutely fantastic movie with clear story flow. Music has been in synch with the movie and pleasing to the ears. Fantastic acting by Arya and Pooja. No wonder if the Bollywood is jealous of the movie
looks like this movie is only for tamils and the people who like to see the worst and difficult to digest scenes with the tag of 'realism' and definetly not for those who seek just entertainment.
this is wat major websites in telugu has to say about the movie.
review1 :"Nenu Devudni is disappointment from director Bala. Except for the first 15 minutes, rest of the movie is hard to diges. It has very disturbing visuals and the movie is too dark than Bala's previous movies. Its script is weak and the movie has no purpose."
review2 :The film deserves the one mark only due to the sheer efforts of the lead pair and their commitment levels and partly due to the technical values. Otherwise, it is absolute trash!! Keep away from this film to keep brains in right condition.
review3 :Analysis: First things first! Nenu Devudni is not for everybody. One should have stomach to absorb such a highly disturbing content. The plus points of the film are director’s conviction of sticking to realism while narrating story, riveting background music by Ilayaraja and performances. All the scenes involving Arya are good and heroic. The huge minus point of the film is disturbing content. Tamil nativity is also a drawback for Telugu crowds. On a whole Nenu Devudni is a treat for movie connoisseurs who doesn’t mind disturbing content. This film will surely have a gala time at international film festivals.

I think both the reviewer and you is looking for 4 masala songs and 4 fights and some rape scenes inbetween. Sorry boss this is a tamil movie and not typical telugu movie style. If you want such pic watch Vijay or Jeyam ravi movie

How many national awards telugu films have won in recent years ? It clearly reflects the pathetic standards of telugu cinema and taste of telugu people which is nothing but horrendous..

This shows the kind of movie tastes you prefer BRO..Please dont comment about a masterpiece like NK. It you think family entertaniner genre are the only movies considered as good...then you are looser and not auterised to comment about NK...Please comment those categories...I guess if the same movie is directed by Dany Boyle with some western BGM flavoured and named it as "I AM GOD", then everyone would have praised it. Poor guys can't digest a masterpiece from Bala...
