Saw this movie last night at IMAX. Its worth watching.. good direction, good action.. nothing out of the world but 3D and CGI makes is a paisa wasool movie.
We watched yday in dubai. Its not good. Its OK kind of film. And really no reason or charming with 3D. Bz we like 3D means which come close to our eye and thrill you. but this is not that kind of 3D. If really interested watch without 3D also. And its for 3 hrs, really difficult to sit. It will run in multiplex for 2-3 weeks bz of hype and mainly bz of 3D but wont be big hit or memorable film.
avatar is a mismash of old american formulaic films. nothing new just few good CG work. in chennai, it's the emperor of box office, vijay's vettaikaran that is ruling the box office. plans are on to replace "avatar" with vettaikaran as there are no takers to that boring movie. thalapthy rocks.

no.. Mr.Vijayfan wants to spark-off few heated messages and will enjoy people fighting each other. In Chennai, it was full of traffic jam near all the theatres where Avatar is screened.. Just watched it in Satyam cinemas.. what a movie!!! Don't miss it.. As the reviewer said.. watch in 3D.. ohh... my goodness..
Average movie with awesome visuals(3D). May make some big money at BO but definitely not going to be a classic. Worth a 4 star rating. Definitely no 5 star !!

if you go by the direction...this movie is awesome...did you notice how fine points and sentiments are projected...if you have there is no way it can be categorised as an average movie

This is just AVERAGE Movie at best even in 3D (New market for Hollywood studio for profits after DVD sales is going down continuously). Definitely good effects which shows more greenery. but if you want see better greenery watch "The Thin Red Line" directed by Terance Malik. also It has better Action then Avatar.
There is one movie I saw long time ago about a soldier goes into red indian and converted and all. this is complete copy of that movie on a story line basis just with better effects.
