Mr. mamoot's looks are okey,and he is a best actor,but here he has not achieved anything. And the Fight scenes - VAL PAYATTU, Malayalam movies not improved from the "UDAYA'S VADAKKAN PATTU era, its funny to watch after the opponent jumps, they swing the sword under the feet otherwise after sitting above the head, VAL PAYATTU is to kill the enemy, not to create a commody scene . Do we have good editors, good technicians, I know the world class Rassol Pukutty, otherwise, So Ms. Meghna George, study the movies properly first,don't write to please the Film family like the channels.

@Ram..Rightly said..the present plight of wayanad is because of the so-called achayanas who came from nowhere and cheated the tribals and robbed of their land and culture... go to that place, u can find a cinema hall with a cross in every second junction..pathetic...

@ Traps..So Mr george varghese should go and watch the movie once again, not for its aesthtc and technical brillance...but for the content of the movie...pazhassi wanted to hand over the land to tribals, the true owners of wayanad..but the unscrpulous achayans robbed their land, culture and dignity..mamootty acted or not, i dont mind..the movie had a messge..thats it..

Mr.Joseph.. Thats good joke {World class Resul Poonkutty}. Is he the music director for the entire movie? Can u watch the movie without BGM? Resul is just sound designer my frnd.

The expected behavior from an individual is to accept another culture and appreciate its nuances than criticizing it. I am a tamilian and I have seen few malayalam movies this year and they are all pretty good good as same as any Bollywood, Tamil or Telugu movies. Every cinema produces its own good and thrash without any exception.
pazhassi is one of the best technically superior films made in India. but the performances themselves are not on par with the best ever...looks and all ok but not the perfromances.......sharath kumar was superb but for mammootty teh role was quite average....
The year 2009 was good for Malayalam films in terms of Box Office collections also. Many low budget films (like Passenger) from new directors made good profits.

Adoor should seriously think about doing films based on Contemporary themes rather than period films. Infact "oldeiwood" itself is obsessed with old themes & old actors!!!

Antappa, I will let him know about your views. Adoor, Tendulkar, MohalLal, Mammotty, Yesudas.. these ppl have a lot to learn from Anto. They are nothing in front of him....Infact even Tom Hanks is nothing in front of Anto's acting talents.
