Not in Delhi, Mumbai???
by Mohit Patwa on Aug 20, 2009 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

Very strange that a South Indian movie is breaking all borders and releasing across the world, but it is an irony that it won't be in theaters in Delhi, Mumbai and other North Indian cities. Why shouldn't the distributors try these territories by dubbing the movie in Hindi and releasing here.

Tamil movie releasing abroad is not a strange think which shud make u awestruck .Almost every other tamil movie gets released abroad.
Not releasing in north india - there are not theatres in north india to release this movie. As 60% of theatres are in south and in the rest 40%, there are several north indian movies running

It is not strange it is SAD. The problem is that our Indian concept of "unity in Diversity" is slowly fading away. And it is obvious, a south movie released in north dosent attract crowd. So my dear brilliant fellow it is not strange, it is obvious. God has given a little brain, please use it.

But I believe Mohit's point is not wrong.. They can dubb in Hindi and release it, but I dont think that is going change anything, I dont think anybody will take that risk, as believe the taste of south and north is completely different.

Mayur ji, did it occur to you, that this may be a matador in a bull figt sequence located in Spain.

Do you want the actor to be dressed as Lalu Prasad Yadav for this sequence? I would rather that he is not in Kurta Payjama.

Lets not get our stereotypical mindset to demean other films. Atleast not so soon after our own 'Global icon' Badshah was not even recognized and treated like a regular joe in the US.

And after crying collectively as a Nation for SRK's izzat and aabru we are back to ridiculing other film industries whose movies we dont watch...just like Americans dont watch or care to know who SRK is.

haha... wat.. do u want to fight a bull wearing pyjamas??? dont ever compare the potato govinda with a national award winning actor (Vikram)... before pointing at this costume.. check what AK wore in 'Singh is King'... a lungi below a blazer.. i have seen many beggars in Ooty wear that.. its gud that AK didnt shoot that film in ooty.. otherwise.. people would have shooed him away thinking him to be a beggar.
