Guys, This movie is a big let down! Very predictable, and other than flashes of believable acting by Rani here and there, most actors fail to deliver. The big difference between a fantastic movie and an ordinary movie is that a fantastic movie hijacks your mind, and holds you in such a thrall, that you forget you are in a theater looking at images on a screen....we are transported into that magical world of vivid imagery that the director has crafted with great wizardry. And when the movie ends, it tugs at our heartstrings, as we swiftly return to the real world and realize that we have head home.
Though 'Hadippa' ravages our mind with a mixed dose of bright colors, loud music, and feisty dancing, it fails to transport us to a different world....you grow increasingly aware that you are sitting in this theater patiently waiting for the movie to take off...but like passengers on a delayed flight sitting on the tarmac we sit fidgeting on our seats, hoping to get airborne, and be amidst the clouds, bedazzled by the lovely experience those promos and trailers had promised...but we are kept waiting. Minutes become hours, but hope doesnt translate to reality...even Rani's burst of intense and passionate dialogue delivery towards the very end fails to take us to the promised dreamland. And with the rest of a disappointed crowd, we shuffle out of the theater, silently avoiding glances of fellow movie goers heading back home...
aahun aahun is stolen from a bengali song. Even mauja hi mauja is a copy. pritam is a good remixer at best. this time he probably did not find a good original, hence the boring product.
Feel for the subtle has vamoosed from the hindi films of today as utter grossness whether in terms of music or dialogues or dances, permeated every cinematic frame. The sensitivity of Guru Dutt, the magic of Raj Kapoor, the urbane-ness of Bimol Roy are no longer to be seen. When you see "Shri 420" you see the India of Fifties, which India do you see watching Johar / Chopra brand of films ?
All Yashraj movies treat all other indians as aliens...no other character from any other state...all names of characters will be khanna, oberoi, verma, sharma...the movie will be overdramatised with main characters always having relatives in london/new york...some NRI connection has to be there....it will have comedy which is not funny...the costumes will be gaudy and repulsive to say the least....and they try to pass this off as family entertainment for all of india...yashraj represents all that is wrong with the country today...bollywood has become a joke because of l0sers like yashraj...we as a nation are dumbing down thanks to these kinda films

Bollywood has become a joke??? Indian movies are gaining respect and have an identity of their own because of Yash raj you fool. If showing two regular people fight with them flying around just because they punch each other is epic cinema for you ... then go get you brain and age checked.

Bollywood movies are gaining respect abord by only NRI Punjabi families not by forein audiences.. to get notice in international Audience YRF & Karan johar must stop to making films who shows only Punjabi Marriage ceremony......likes nothing but a sardarji Joke

So Yash Raj banner lifting a movie script straight out of a Hollywood movie, and demonstrates how to remake a very good Hollywood movie into a garish Bollywood movie, is what is causing 'Indian movies to gain respect'?
You guys will blindly eat out of these mediocre and overhyped bollywood production houses, who casually take fans like you (and your money) for granted.
Given your message, I dont blame them. They have a captive and loyal audience in you, ever willing to part with your hard earned money to watch trash.

I dnt agree with you...as YRF make those movies which they can relate better to themselves and I like it...Similarly Priydarshan keep more emphasis on keepin kerala in focus in his movies (atleast for songs and minor scenes shooting) and I like that too....so one is independent to make movies in their own style......

The music sucks bigtime.. you dont know anything abt music not d reviewer. 'Hadippa' title track looks like a cheap copy of 'Mauja hi Mauja' (even visually).. Sad that Pritam has given such an average score

Just because it's on TV all the time does not mean it's a rage! All it means is the producers is paying tons of money for it to get played. Pay For Play
