You Cannot Judge a person what he is.and this is not a human signature to reveal one persons attitude and his personal ability.Ramesh krishnan you have thing about u r self then teach others like legendry people. and stop at this point
Few things that Ilayaraja can do is to go beyond the boundaries of south.. establish relationships with directors/producers in Bollywood/Hollywood, use agents to market his work (just like what Rahman does). A good product is successful only when it is marketed right..i sincerely wish that he gets the next Oscar for India :)

His music is divine and he is a saint composer. I think there is no need for marketing his skills. At this stage you can not compare him with Saint Thyagaraja, Tukaram or Purandaradas but he is definitely different from modern day film music composers. He has got Saraswati Kataksham .
I am from Orissa and I really feel lucky to listen the music of Mastero especially in telugu films like Geetanjali, Abhinandana, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Kondaveeti Donga, Swathimuthyam, Sagara Sangamam, Gharshana, Sirivennela to name a few. The songs of Geetanjali like Aamani Paadave and O Papa Lali are just nectar to ears.

Hi Swaminathan, I think, you will be more delighted to learn that there is a huge fan/worshipper community of the Maestro in AndhraPradesh. As for me, I am blessed to be living in the same era as the great IR. Hai Raja, Prashanth
