I think what the producers are demanding is fair. After having put the money to produce the movie, they have every right to demand an equal share.
Multiplexes today have become blood sucking leeches. It has been more than 10 years since this trend was started and still they cry that this is a new phenomenon. Utter nonsense. If one were to look at the kind of atrocious prices charged for food items inside the multiplex it becomes clear that these people have no concern for the paying public.
Also, in most of the states, multiplexes are enjoying exemption from entertainment tax and they have not passed on this benefit to the viewer. They pocket the whole money earned thru ticket sales.

I totally agree with merabharatmahaan. watching these movis in multiplexes only makes the rich richer. i believe in sharing the money and helping out the small businessmen selling pirated dvds in palika bazaar.

I disagree with you........ piracy will make only 1 or few pirators rich but the emplyment affected due to piracy is much more. Millions are employed thru bolywood. They might lose their jobs.

So what if the money reaches terrorist. As far as I am concerned, I can watch 5 movies on a DVD that is available for Rs 50. In multi-plex, it cost Rs 150. The chances that the terrorist strike will hit me is very very remote.

I prefer to download and watch at home instead of spending money in multiplex, we spend lots of money on watching movies and what is the return it just entertains you, so why cant we watch at home, and use this money in other works. if movies are not uploaded just wait for few weeks and it will telecast on cable. why should we support this producers or actors are we benefited by them
