Thanks Mr. Thackeray for bringing the Bachchan family to justice. Keep up the good work. The people of Mumbai are with you. Also, thanks for taking on Mr. Prasad. We hope that in your reign atleast the Marathi man gets his due in his State.

DOn't argue
by Raj Srivastava on Sep 14, 2008 02:16 AM

I think Mr Bachchan has done the right thing. There is a saying "Don't argue with stupid people first they bring you to their level and then they beat you with their experience"

Question to Rediff - Is Kashmir part of India or not???
by anir on Sep 13, 2008 01:21 AM

Rediff allows comments on such news items but not on news items on Kashmir!

Like the news on Yatin malik the Islamic seperatists leader in Kashmir.

Why?

Is it that, per rediff, Kashmir is no longer part of India?

Shame on Mumbai police
by gokul dharmana on Sep 12, 2008 10:20 AM  | Hide replies

Amitabh should be ashamed of himself for apologising to a goonda like Raj. It just shows that Bachachans have no self respect and that they are ready to fall on the feet of anyone who threatens to ban their films. They are only concerned about making sure that 'The last lear' and 'Drona' are allowed to be screened in Maharashrta. Bachchans have a lot of stake in the movies but if they don't stand up to these sena thugs, how can the common man fight them? Also Raj has become so arrogant that he managed to threaten even the Police Comissioner. If a common man had done such a thing he would have been tortured to death in the police lockup. It just shows that Thackereys are above the law and the Maharastra cops don't have the guts to take them on. Shame on Mumbai police! They can't even dare to touch Raj for sure

what the comissioner say is right ? is it the way to speak by jt. cp ? he has always had bias toward any one twho speak marathi or talk about marathi. in feb he has said that i will broke legs & hands of MNS wrokers. what he thing he is some king or what . if any other police officer had said this to a northindian & if he was marathi speaking then hindi , english media would have run 24 hr coverage on that , papers would have written in front page . infact this arrongent officer should have been sacked
