We should have a law against devisive, anti-national politics. What about freedom of expression.. If i goto maharashtra and say im from punjab and i want to speak in punjabi, I dont understand how thats against Maharashtra.
filthy politics, is one thing; this is dangerous devisive politics; thats what this is.
I agree with Raj as the tone used by Jaya bachan for the statement was wrong. she should have used teh word that she was from UP and she will talk in hindi, so Marathi People dont mind. Other music releases people use English or Hindi they never say that they are from south india or north india.
This person has nothing constructive to do or give to the state hence just creating monkey tricks to remain in lime light. People should ignore and get ahead with their routine lives for the betterment of the country and not any state in particular.

I dont think there is anything so hurtful in the statement. If i say im from rajasthan and want to speak in rajasthani, i dont understand why should anyone feel bad. Raj is just playing anti-national, devisive politics.

the bachan family deserve this treatment. these ppl came all the way from UP and made thier lives in mumbai but dont want to learn the local langauge and culture. hats of to marati ppl for fighting out to save thier language and culture. It is high time all indians whereever they go, pls learn the local language and respect the local culture. then only, we will not have these language clashes. I support KRV which is doing the same thing in Bengaluru too. it is obivous that you wont tolerate if someone comes as guest to your house, stay with you for long time and tries to put his culture/languge on you. even the animals fight it out to retain thier monopoly in thier borders.

Jaya jee made only one mistake. It just shows she have something (may be a little fraction) in common with Raj. She should not mention UP but she should say :Hum apne aapko BHAARTIYA samjhte hain isliye Hindi mein baat karenge. Maharashtra ke log maaf kariye. Some one is taking example of Amir Khan and Gujrat, some one of Kashmir. Main aap logon jitna padhaa likhaa to nahee hoon, but ek sawaal hai mere man mein: "Agar aap ke ghar mein kisi ek side mein AAG lagee ho to aap kya kareinge. Use bujhaane kee koshish kareinge yaa doosre kone mein bhee aag lagaa denge" -- YUM

we are not asking him to be a fluent in marathi or become a professor in marathi but u need to know enough to understand and communicate......also nobody is expecting you to know marathi on first day u land in mumbai......but after u spend 25 years aand so u should for sure !!
