wow, good to see the write up on farooq sheikh.It has been a nostalgic feeling since those were the days of few things but good things inn life. I rememeber that in those days farooq and dipti naval used to act in movies as if they are made for each other even in real life too. The beauty is that he has always maintained his standard of acting and given the best of him to the society. His contribution is remarkable.
He is one of my favourite good old actors alonwith Shekhar suman.. Remember his comic serials on Home tv. Home tv was very good earlier showing a lotta cool comedy serials.
Dear friends, For Farooque's best work, watch Katha, a masterpiece by Sai Paranjape. Farooque plays a nasty fellow by the name of Vasudev Bhatt, calling himself Basu. It was a exemplary piece of direction by Sai, and in rest of casting, Naseeruddin was wonderful as simple and naive friend of Basu.
i am from south but i relly like FS,he is a very good actor and i like his dilouge delivery a lot.
Even as a person he os so dignified and calm,i have never seen him going for cheap publicity.
I saw a NDTV programme where indian muslim politicians and FS was participating and other side was pakistani politicians,i was so impressed by FS and the way he defended indian situation in kasmir and general issues etc.
He a good INDIAN unlike some of these gaddar actors we see now a days(in all communities i mean).
FS had acted ina gem of film called KISSI SE NE KEHNA under hrishda's direction and also one more spoof called Peecha Karo its a good one.How can you miss about Ji Mantriji and always called as LAACHAR INSAAN- Great actor , nice article.Just Do not miss out on certain things and that 's the 1 point
