Excerpts from review of Lagaan by Pulitzer Prize winner Roger Ebert, arguably the greatest Film Critic in the world:
1."Lagaan" is an enormously entertaining movie, like nothing we've ever seen before 2. If "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" could break out of the martial-arts ghetto and gross $150 million, then why not a Bollywood movie for non-Indians? It has succeeded in
jumping its genre; it won an Academy Award nomination this year as best foreign film, and has been rolling up amazing per-screen averages in North American theaters. 3....most readers of this review have never seen a Bollywood movie and don't want to start now. That will be their loss 4.It is a long time since I praised a movie for its landscapes; I recall "Dr. Zhivago" (1965) or "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962) 5.You get your money's worth. Leaving the film, I did not feel unsatisfied or vaguely short-changed, ... but satisfied: I had seen a movie.

Now look at what RAHUL BOSE, Mr.KNOW-IT -ALL & greatest champion of SRK has to say about Lagaan: 1....it was not an Oscar material .. 2.lagaan was too gimmicky to get the national award... (do u really think aamir's performance was so great?)
Friends, let's not waste our precious time criticizing RAHUL BOSE. As they say:"Never wrestle with a p*g. You both get dirty and only the p*g enjoys it."
Amir Khan is far better then Shahrukh is all the Departments. Aamir's performances are better then SRK. SRK always bags on Yash Chopra's and Johars for giving Hit films. Whereas Aamir give blockbuster even with new comer Directors. 2)Aamir is not chamcha of Awards whereas Sharukh gives money to sponsors for Awards(film fare, zeecine etc...) 3)Amir is great Actor he got National Award whereas SRK did not yet. 4)SRK gives money for media for his films to be a HIt whereas Aamir not. All in All Aamir and Salman are great Actors and Super Stars and are always liked by Masses and All.
you don't need to look at a full length feature film to decide who is better between srk and aamir, look at the old coke ads where aamir has done a variety of roles like a tapoori, bengali, punjabi and also his new tata sky ad was very good but you don't remember srk doing anything different, he attempted to do a UP bhaiya style ad for airtel but made a fool out of himself. So people like rahul should think before they say that srk has done a variety of roles.
