Please don't worry about Bomb blasts, poverty, declining economy, inflation, power cuts, unclean water. But please keep a track of Big B's bowel movements.

Good one. Cynic.
Suddenly people starts thinking about Bomb blasts, poverty, declining economy, inflation, power cuts, unclean water etc. when some news come about BIG B.
If INDIA GIVES PROPER RESPECT TO BOG B, THEY WILL ALSO LEARN HOW TO TACKLE OTHER PROBLEMS.

No such publicity is needed for Amitab
by mallaiah anchoori on Oct 13, 2008 12:46 AM  | Hide replies

Many of my friends on the board have already written about the undesirability of undue publicity given to simple ailment like stomachache suffered by a human being like us.It is really height of foolishness of media to give such a wide publicity including video clippings. What is so great about Big B?He might have been an actor who had charged preposterous price for his action during his hay days in the field. He might have been just an ex-MP with no worthwhile service to the people of his constituency. He might have been "crorepathi"who might have compeered the programme "Kaun banega Karodpathi"and he may be father-in-law of Aishwarya Roy,one time Miss Universe-no matter all these do not warrant every thing about even when he sneaks.Amitab is not to considered as a public figure in the strict sense of the term as he did nothing to the people except making money for himself.Amar Singh is a politician who wants to use the past cinematc charisma of Amitab & Jaya Bachan for his own political reasons. It is disgrace that such a caravan should have been there while taking him to the hospital and such a big show should have been made while taking him into the premises of the hospital.

Dear...
Let me first tell you that - AISHWARYA RAI was only Miss World not Miss Universe (You have mentioned).
2nd - Amitabh Bachchan is the national heritage like Lata Mangeshkar & S.Tendulkar. Indian Government is responsible for everything.
He is great in his field, and put the name of our country INDIA into world map.. his contribution list is endless, i am not going to count those.
He is common man but uncommon feauters..

If you also want such media coverage in you every step of your life then you have to be devoted into your field and should you have to understand the importance of TIME....
Best of Luck, and think twice before raising finger to any one, becasuse you dont know that 3 fingers are pointing towards you.

Dear Anand Kamal!I am sorry for the slip in regard to the distinction of Aishwarya as Miss World;I regret for the lapse of mentioning it as "universe" instead of world.
Every one agrees definitely to the extent that he was a good actor;it does not mean that the media should go on showering undue publicity for what all he does. And as I already wrote,a public figure is one who does some thing good to the people.Like Amitab, there are innumerable good cine actors. Will the media be giving such wide publicity to each of such fellows and the smallest ailment they suffer temporaril?Yes,he is a common man with uncommon physical features suited for acting like an angry young man. What is his contribution to the society or to the country? Yes,he remains as an icon on the world map as the costliest actor of his times.Did he ever come forward with fund raising or contributions even while the nation suffered several calamities like floods/famines/ earth cakes etc?No..Never..Either he or his so much acclaimed Jaya lived up to an iota of the characters of messiah depicted in the roles of cinemas they acted in? The factual position is that he has no bookings and feels his importance on the verge of fading-such people want publicity & there are media which have no other important news to cover than like this for the sake cheap popularity.Rediff,of late,is resorting to such things just because some greatness was thrust on him previously for his actional talents.Let us be true to our conscience

Nothing much wrong in what Mr Anchoori has written . you can glorify a person to that extent that bowel problems cover all headlines. How he had planned to grab land in barabanki n near own mumbai - farmers land is known to all. Had he been an icon he wd not depned on amar singh, aishwarya n ambanis support . Tendulkar is an icon - he stands himself.

by Guest on Oct 12, 2008 11:24 PM

Get well soon sir. PTI sucks so hard, they are so damn opportunistic. Imagine writing a man's hospital room rent, when he is unwell.

Well he hasn't robbed a bank, he has bloody well earned it and its none of "Press" business.

Press is going to dogs.

Media is to blame
by ron josh on Oct 12, 2008 11:11 PM  | Hide replies

as my friend pointed out he has 30 odd cars. wont anyone of us go to the doctor at night itself if we are ill, why wait for the media to gather and then leave. frankly this sucks. now the media, i live in the vicinity of lilavati hospital the scene here is crazy. the media vans are parked on the main road as it is parking lot. the Network 18 van is parked infront of the bus stop. i asked the policeman on duty why its not being towed away he said its media hum kya kare. Now please tell me where to complain against this media. Lilavati is a important hospital and I hope no one dies in the ambulance due to media as they care about no one but report what the bacchans are wearing etc etc. shame on the media ... please spead the word about careless attitude.
