Actually Holland is wrong. The country is called Netherlands (and the main 2 states in Netherlands are North Holland and South Holland)
And some Dutch people take it as a serious offense if u call the country as Holland :)
Not pin-pointing mistakes. Just a little info on GK.
But guys why such offense of others. Every state is good. Kamal is a wonderful actor and Ray is a masterpiece director. We cant compare them. Instead of pulling others legs, we can learn from these great peoples. learn to be dedicate in what u do and learn to be respect others.

Stanilaus, Fans are driven by prime movers whereas windmils are primemovers themselves!So fans and wind mills are not one and the same!Fans are used for cooling whereas windmills are power generators!(Mechanical and electrical)
Kamal Hasan is undoubtedly one the greatest actors of India. I pitty those north Indians who has not seen his tamil movies!! Also I agree with Madhavan, kamal is such an actor, one really fall in love with him after seeing his movies. As a person who have seen Micheal Madana Kamarajan more than 50 times, I can vouch for it! Madhavan also is cute..and good actor to watch. He is not dumb.. we used to like him from his "banegi apni baat" days! it doesnt matter who thinks what, KAMAL IS THE BEST!!!

No doubt kamalhasan is a good actor not only in reel life but also in real life!He cheated Vani Ganapathy acting as good husband and deserting her.Then he had sex play with Sarika and had children and then married (!) her for the sake of social standing.Alas,sarika has to run away from him unable to put up with this womaniser.Now he has his girl friend who is a divorcee and ex actress Gauthami,It will go on.He is another Gemini Ganesan/M.R.Radha!Mind this man was a play boy before he married Vani though he was refusing it in pulic!May be he plays in reel life what exactly he does in real life and that is why he is successful!

Subbu, you don't have any rights to talk about his personal life. If you are paying for the ticket to his movie, you have all the rights to appreciate/critisize the movie, but not the person in him.
If you still want to talk about the person, then, everyone has their own positives and negatives. Don't tell me as if you don't have any bad habits. He has donated all his organs. So, why don't you accept him to be good as a person. Just becos, he married twice, had children before marriage, you cannot classify him to be a bad person.

Kamal has a open book life whereas others are not. All human beings have plus and minus. Rajini is a chain smoker & drinker I saw this when I went to Inaguration of "Avvai Shanmughi" Kamal movie at a star hotel. He went to bar at 8:30 and drank till 11:30 (as my uncle was in production he accompanied him). Many things that happen in the industry are not coming out. Kamal has donated his eyes, his body for social cause. All his fan clubs in TN are Welfare clubs doing social service and he is the first to do like that. Rajini was conducting 20 weddings for his fans every year, but stopped when his political ambitions doomed. In his wife's Ashram school all children are elite from stars and politicians. Even Rajini (claimed to spiritual who goes to Himalayas often) served diverce notice to his wife Latha, but quit becz of fan pressure. Rajini is caught in a land controversy recently, but escaped due to Karunanidhi's help. Just look their performance on screen. Off screen most of the actors all womanizer, drunkard, etc.

rajani i have been watching ur comments for some time...u seem to have some grouse against people north of the vindhyas...did u get booted out when u were working in delhi or mumbai..fyi, madhavan did not act in banegi apni baat, it was another comedy serial with satish shah...and btw madhavan speaks hindi too as he is brought up in jamshedpur and likes all bollywood actors not like u who is so bitter about anything north indian...btw kamal's last few movies like hey ram, abhay, mumbai express etc were all crap....he seems to be turning into a megalomaniac....he was good sometime between 1987 and 1992 but he has totally lost it...first learn to respect all parts of india and being a girl ur lanuage looks like that of a sore loser...so bitter and full of jealousy.

he should dub his movies in hindi. i took pity on you when you say north indian. why cant you guys speak and make films in hindi rather than preferring local language. why your schools dont prefer hindi over local language.just to keep you aloof from main stream

Hi, I don't want to get into any controversy but I must tell you one simple thing. Kamal's mother tongue is Tamil and not Hindi or English. He could reel off Hindi expressions like any other good actor but the subtle difference in accent (I mean south indian) is easily discernible. That is why Mohammed Rafi's songs cannot be replicated by any other south indian although Yesudas comes close. The point is this. If it is Tamil, it has to be either Sivaji or Kamal to enjoy the treat. So, taking nothing away from Kamal, I must say that if one were to appreciate his genius, he should know Tamil. Dubbed films can't do justice to any actor for that matter. Having said that, any north Indian without a smattering of Tamil can still appreciate Kamal's genius because, after all, the fundamental ethos amongst all Indian languages is the same, it is only the tone that is different. I must apologise for this long explanation.

India is a land of vast differences in people, food and religion. That is the beauty of this land.I love and respect Hindi, Telugu and Tamil for what they are.And sir, what is the main stream and what is not ? You mean the south is not the main stream ? Will you not take a top job in Chennai or Bangalore if you are offered one ? You probably have a relative working in Chennai or Bangalore; and you probably have a car built in Chennai.
Come on get a life. India is one. Everybody is great in his own way. Mujhe Hindi achi tarah maaloom hai; and I also like my masala dosa. JAIHIND !!!

Sharma - Why dont you people learn tamil or kannada and widen your horizon instead of being a frog in the well. And for mainstream, learn English, Hindi is not and never will be anywhere near it. Even Hindis are straining to learn English and tries desperately to ape American or British accents. So doctor cure thyself first.

Kamal is good, Rajni is good, Amitaab is good, Chiru is good . . Whether south or north, the question is whether are we good or not. Instead of being a good by ourselves, we turn unreasobably crazy for others. Seeing some movies 50 or 100 times, building temple for actresses or actors, burning oneself for the sake of the actors or politicians. What are we up to ?
We should take the action of the actors only for the sake of entertainment or sometimes for inspiration and then get into living on our own and do our action to the best of the Society, rather than getting involved in the action or the particular movie too much.
When Amitaab was in serious trouble, whole nation prayed for him and when he became alright what did he do for the nation, except for pursuing his acting career. Further he claimed himself to be a Farmer to claim some land which otherwise would have gone to a real farmer. People should analyse any matter with detached attitude.
Kamal is doing his job fine. Let everyone do their job fine to themselves as well as to the society.
No doubt Madhavan is the great fan of Kamal. But even Shah Ruk Khan is also one of the fans of Kamal. I remember when Kurudhipunal was released, Shah Ruk Khan flew from Mumbai to chennai to watch this film at AVM Rajeshwari theater. He also co-starred with kamal in his one of the most versatiles films "Hey Ram".

Madhavan is very much a South Indian, born to Tamillian parents. Not that it matters. He is Indian.
And Madhavan dumb? His achievements: 1. Award winning NCC candidate chosen to represent India 2. Won awards for public speaking and again represented India in the world championship 3. Award winning actor.
There is no doubt that Kamal Hassan is the most versatile and talented actor in whole India. Like Madhavan i guess every actor should learn something from Kamal Hassan. But i feel its been unfair to him for not offering him Oscar award for one of his best perfomances so far. I wish him good luck and look forward for more of his movies in future.

see kamal is a very good actor...he reached heights because of his hard work and commitement....but I feel Amitab and Mohanlal to be the best actors in inida as they do roles with ease...both of them are born actors....they act very naturally and can take up any kind of roles at ease... u cannot see any others actors now or before in the industry with such natural acting skills..
kamal overacts sometimes....and mammoty is just an ordinary actor...too much of air tight acting only...never comparable with kamal or amitab or mohanlal...

After reading few statements above, feel very bad about how people think, there is no need for compare because of race, colour, ethinic, being living in as NRI, there is no race in here between people, why only in India, it is always difference between south and north? until such thoughts are remove, this country cannot be a super power, listen guys, keep saying unity in diversity but i only see in outside India but not within it. Admire the talent, there is no need to differentiate because of colour , race, ethinic. South has got plenty of talent within it, but actually in outside world, it is just saying Bollywood, what is happening with other states.. India cimema means only Bombay?
