Bollywood Sheheshah rules....
by sameer jain on May 12, 2008 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

Such a vearsatile, forceful & genuine actor, AB is going fabulous in every role even at late 70s. The real Don Of Bollywood is always no.1 & SRK, Aamir & Akshay are only 2nd.

Watch Bhoothnath and you will know what acting is all about. SRK, Aamir and Akshay cannot be even second to AB since he occupies all the first ten spots even at this age.

I clearly see all the action movies missing him. He can easily be hindi's Nagarjuna or Chiranjeevi if he plans his banner and directors intelligently. For this he must take some feedback from his fans with a blog of his own. It is still not late.

I second you. Abhishek has the makings of a real actor. He is not your usual 'chocolate' actor but can deliver powerhouse performances.

I only wish he comes out of the shadow of his wife...

NO Originality
by Whiz on May 12, 2008 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

Bollywood has proved just one mor etime that it is devoid and short of new ideas and stories by plagiarism.
There is an old Classic Movie which was also remade later calle "The Canterville Ghost" OR "The Ghost of Canterville"....
BHOOTNATH is a comple copy of that. They have just added masala to make it sound a bit diffenrent. In the original story its a little girl who befirends the ghost and here its a little boy.
In the original story the Ghost was a person who was a coward in a royal family who refused to fight a duel. In return the father locks him up in thaqt palace and he dies and his ghost wil be freed if some descendent of that family forgives him and it happens to be that little girl....

SO WHEN WILL BOLLYWOOD STOP COPYING CLASSICS?

Accurate review from RAJA SEN
by The Vader on May 12, 2008 02:19 AM  | Hide replies

I feel Raja Sen has reviewed the movie VERY VERY accurately. I feel the director/writer was terribly confused as to whether he should make this a children's movie or a movie for grown-ups. The 1st 1.5 hours with the kid's and Big B's antics was quite entertaining. However, for the last 1 to 1.5 hours I was wondering when this thing (a sad excuse for a movie) would get over...the 2nd half was that horrible...the movie has many inconsistencies too...when the kid falls down from the stairs the Big B is not able to catch hold of him because he is a ghost...but all through the rest of the movie the Big B holds the kid with warmth...this story should have been made into a children's movie...would have been fun for kids to watch...kids are no way going to watch the EXTREMELY BORING 2nd half...hell, it is tough for even grown ups to watch the cliched 2nd half...very surprised to see so many people saying that they loved this movie from a CONFUSED director.

So this is what a good movie?
by LION on May 11, 2008 08:47 PM  | Hide replies

Lacking creativity and doesnt have any sense in any of the scenes. This 'casper' type movies require lot of spectacular scenes. Atleast before making, the Director should have a look at how ghost characters are made to appear together with rest in any of hollywood movie CDs (like of 'Frighter').

Comparably recent Tamil movice 'Arai Enn 305il Kadavual' is far good with nice techniqes and creativeness.

Bollywood only fit for filmi family or romantic dramas like OSO.
