I have seen the original Ghajini. The movie lacks intensity that is expected from an Aamir Khan movie. With all these photo shoots/interviews Aamir is rising the expectations even more. The movie will not be critically acclaimed. People will have the english movie "Memento" at the back of their mind when watching this and "Ghajini" could turn out to be a cheap remake.

Ghajini rocks man! not even 0.001% people have seen Memento in India - and very few care for it. Ghajini is a mass puller story which solid punch of entertainment/thriller - unlike those so called English movies in which they mumble for no reason and cant hear their own voice!!
After Sarfarosh this is the one movie with interesting plot which people wud love to see aamir in.

This is a typical masala movie - dont expect another Range De basanti / taare zameen par / Sarfarosh - you will be disappointed. This movie is just romance/revenge type only thing is the hero has got brian damage (as seen from the cut marks on Aamir's head).
If you like Aamir because he portrays those types of intense characters, then you shouldn't go to this movie.
We can't expect this Ghajini to be a copy of Momento - that will never reach the Indian audience. With the same director/heroine/hairstyle, lets wait to see what might have changed in the story.

1st of all no one's gonna sit & compare ghajini & Memento... they're juz gonna watch the film like the way they saw the tamil/telugu versions. itz not a intellectual film like TZP or RDB... its an out & out commercial flick. pure entertainer. Aamire is sure to bring more intensity to the character as he is more experinced than Surya. and to top it all, music by A.R Rahman will make sure Ghajini is a blockbuster.
P.S -if Aamire can make a Friggin senseless movie like Fanaah a superhit he can make Ghajini this yrs biggest hit!

Amir is just over hyped actor have u seen crap like Mela,Mann etc Horrible acting even in hit film raja hindustani ...
This is a copy cat act. Surya looked deadly in Ghajini movie and as usual bollywood likes to copy it. Another south blockbuster Pokiri (Mahesh babu in Telugu , then in Tamil by Vijay) is being remade. Salman is doing the role. Another Mahesh babu hit 'Athadu' is in production.. Bobby Deol is doing the role. I think Bobby Deol will look like a dud. No one can match the performances of Mahesh and Vijay (both action sequences and dance).

There is nothing wrong in copying....entire north Indians have not seen the original telgu/tamil versions of those movies. So for them its entirely a new movie. Moreover u r talking as if south Indian movies r the only original movies & they never made any remake...comeon grow up kido...

Amir wouldnt copy something that he felt was not good. Reason Amir is doing this movie is that he was impressed with it. He liked it so much, he kept the same heroine & director. You are only insulting Amir's intelligence with such comments.
As for copying, it is a sad fact that the Indian film industry survives because of it. Southern hits get copied up north, Northern films get copied down south.. Hollywood films get copied all over. But for people who have already seen the original version, the copy never has the same effect.
he is of the same quality that all his previous superstars were. when dilip kumar was superstar, balraj sahni used to act more really getting into skin of character but dilip kumar was called superstar. when amitabh was superstar naseeruddin shah used to get into skin of character while amiitabh had same old angry young man look which made him superstar. same goes for shahrukh. when he is superstar there are many other actors who get into skin of character while SRK is loved across the world for being just SRK in the movie. His charming nature and obsessive love shown in his movies is liked by everyone and made him superstar.
so why reserve all abuses for srk? after all he is doing same thing that all his previous superstars did. and those who say he is GAY with karan johar, do u also mean to say Amitabh was GAY with Prakash Mehra? Go suck an egg, SRK haters!!!!

SRK is a fairly good actor but a real cheap person. Proven by what he says and what he does in the Filmfare awards. His jokes are cruelty towards the aspirants and actors who grew up with a filmfare in their mind. Once a cheapy always a cheapy nothing against the class and poise of Dilip Kumar and Amithabh B.

What Nonsense! Whatever SRK says on stage is written by a scriptwriter... He by-hearts it but reads from the teleprompter most of the time as this script guy adds funny stuff from behind the scene whenever possible.. his name is Kiran Kotrial, same guy who scripts for shekhar suman & jaaved jaafri at times. go check ur facts! they use SRK 4 this coz no one minds it when he does it. He even jokes at himself on stage & even in films like OSO...

Yes my brother i agree and thats what is needed for this movie...so Aamir is on Trac so u dont have to worry about it...by the way u need to appriciate the pure zeal and the survival instincts of that Mexican who dared to do it all without even having the intelligence that u have... dont criticise someone associating them with their nationality. Thats a serious offence. But i like the way u described it, try as a writer.

Guys, Check out rediff's true color and SRK bias. Cant be shown more shamelessly frank than this. Few days back there was a poll on 'Most Over-rated actor' and SRK won hands down grabbing more than 90% of votes among approx 1100 votes. And Rediff silently removed the article without even publishing the results, since they would hav had to list SRK as the topper.
And to think that all voters are fools and wont even notice it, shows how they least care about views of people.

do you know what SRK's position is today in Bollywood. He is now in every ad and his "nonsensical" movies are top grossers. He is talk of the town. And he has achieved this because he has pleased the crowds. He is a reflection of the Indian junta. If he had given serious movies, none of you would have gone to see them. Just tell me how many Satyajit Ray movies have you seen, any Deepa Mehta movies ? These are supposed to be the real cinema. And I don't see anyone talking about them in the news. He is a showman who has learnt from the Indian people what they want to see. If they want to see songs, item songs, dance, romance, action, emotions etc etc he gives them. People pay for his overacting because they enjoy it. You are one of the unfortunates who has missed the point how movie works in cinema halls.

Thats a crap - people dont want to see this. Thats why KANK and DON were average in India. And SRK does not know what the audience wants - only OSO was a luck for him - but u cant fool ppl all the time with ur marketing.
