I'm Japanese fan. In Japan, his movies which released were only Muthu,Arunachalam,Baasha,Anjari. I like Mark Antony in Baasha and Shekar in Anjari very much.
When I was lucky to meet him, he smilied me with saying "Oh, you like Baasha...Antony.Mark Antony", very charming voice.
He is one of the greatest artist, and very kind person.
I am a kannadiga and I do not want to indulge in arguement over Raghuvaran's acting capabilities. He was truly one of the finest actors in villan role. He acted with all the leading superstars of south india like Rajnikanth,Kamal hassan,Chiranjeevi,Balakrishna,Nagarjuna,Venkatesh,Vishnuvardhan,Shivarajkumar and also with bollywood superstars like Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. He has done a wonderfull role in films like Anjali,Muthu,Basha,Kadalan,Circle Inspector,Amarkalam,Majnoo.. May his soul rest in peace.
P.S :- Kannadigas are the greatest admires of Art and Culture
If I am not wrong, he played the villian in 'Shiva' and the father in 'Anjali'. Both were released in Hindi dubbing around the same time. They these were very contrasting roles, he had a very intense presence in both the movies.
