Your last 3 words shows your upbringing, no wonders why you hate SRK.

Ohh Mehta you understood that.. Its was only for people like you.. Ask your parents about your upbringing. You are still like a kid following false writings and love actors like kids like Spiderman, superman etc. Grow up kid..

You got good chance to become rediff editor. Why I should hate SRK or Shaymalan? Both do not deserve to be in limelight..

hmmm so i get it.. who ever is a khan fan should convert... what a thinking.... i really think what must have gone wrong with people that they have such solutions to any conversation.... why can't people have a healthy conversation without getting personal.... if they can not, they should think twice before writing in a public forum....i don't believe that i am even trying to reply to ur response.. coz u don't even have enough guts to reveal ur identity.. neways here is my last effort... try and keep people's parents and personal connotations out of a discussion... u will understand the importance of my statement if you respect yours.. if u don't then i am sorry that i even tried...
now.... being a SRK fan doesn't affect my job or studies or whatever i do.. it only helps me... and u are nobody to judge on people's progress in life... so kindly refrain from judging people whom u don't even know.... regarding the burns in my pocket... i will do till the time i can afford to... people are mature enough to make judgement on that, on their own.. still thanks for the suggestion....
thanks for the compliment..:) i would love to be the rediff editor... and will see what can i do about it..
lastly i must say you have enough time to pass... :))) can see you have time to go through "hopeless article" and then have time to comment on the same....
happy timepassing....

" really m bit surprized 2 c hw much unnecessary time ppl r wasting that too on chap like srk,"... the conviction with which you make this statement makes me assume you must not be amongst them and i am sure you haven't seen any of his movies lately.... kindly let us know the same at your convenience...
and as per my opinion he rocksssss..... he knows he is an entertainer and sells... and i see nothing wrong in cashing on this fact...
movies are a profession for lots... like us, a layman, these actors also prefer to work in a comfortable environment and with people with whom they can relate the best....
and just for records you didn't mention directors like ashutosh - swades, shimit amin - chak de, sanjay leela - devdas , mani ratnam - dil se, with whom he has worked.. and these are just few names... there are many more...
i strongly feel ur statement is not based on any facts... SRK is the only one who started his career with negative roles and made a mark even in that and then is even more successful in positive roles... with all due respect to the actors u have mentioned, i would say SRK is as versatile as any other actor in the list... the only difference is that he has a bigger fan following.... its so evident and need no proof... at least he doesn't write blogs to take out frustration on a successful co actor...
lastly cinema can be meaningful or entertaining or both.. and i feel every actor has a right to chose what he is best at...
no personal hard feelings... but a

shyamalan get it right
by shadman on Jun 12, 2008 03:06 PM

the first impression that i got from this discourse with shyamalan is that he does speak of hindi cinema with some respect but in actuality he isnt much interested in it. the fault isnt his. the kind of cinema he has been brought up is different than that in india. indian cinema is an extension of the centuries-old folk art forms and thus we have the "sort of heightened emotions" and the ever compulsary song and dance sequences.
he is right in some sense that hindi cinema reminds him of "old-school storytelling". but time and again film-makers have told exceptional stories which are very much real on the reel. and off-lately this phenomenon has picked up.
indian cinema is today passing through a new phase where storytelling is getting better. it is a part of evolution and hopefully one day we will be able to make movies for a global audience, break away from the cliche that "hindi cinema is all about song and drama".

by RAMAN LAL on Jun 12, 2008 01:42 PM

by holydevil on Jun 12, 2008 01:39 PM  | Hide replies

Shyamalan said all thre movies had Shah rukh in them in teh last para. I dont remember Shah rukh in Satyam Shivam Sundaram!!!! was he in disguise of teh scantily cladded lady who falls in love with Shashi Kapoor, has a scarred face???ohhhw ait....that was zeenat aman...!!hehehehe i dunno whether its rediff's mistake or Mr. Shayamalan's himself!!!

Through teh "Signs" that I am getting, My "Sixth Sense" says its rediff....thokofying anything....but "the Happening" is "Unbreakable" & irreversible....even a small boy from "the Village" can say that SRK is not in Styam Shvm Sndrm !!! Get it??

Even in 1995 amir had tough competition with SRK (DDLJ & Rangeela), but amir lost to SRK. Poor amir stopped to going award function after that. He has taken it to his heart. May god bless him this time. (Hope he wont leave the film industry if his film flop against SRK)

Haha!
Aamir khan stopped attending to Awards after he lost to srk in 1993 baazigar where aamir made that movie with the kids and juhi. just cause juhi, he thought that he would won it! Like no other movie was made that year, what a child. SRK made him quite awards, he made him quite romantic movies and now he will make him quite acting but Aamir backed off and is holding his previous realease in october.
