I live in the USA the last 10 years and i dont really think Americans look up to us all that much as its been written time and again. Stallone is a over the hill actor,he is 60 years old or almost there and he isnt that hot right now in Hollywood and its not uncommon for these oldies to turn to other nations to make money. Its like Greg Chappel and co coming to coach india.our guys self esteem is low that everytime a hollywood actor is seen around them they go GAGAA.
What is all that big deal of his stinking old gloves that he gave to this loser? Ask a hot young actor like Mathew Mcconhey or Tobey Mcguire or whoever is number one, youg all happening hero about Bollywood they would say "WHAT" good way to milk money is for these oldies to join Bollywood like retired losers becoming Indian cricket team coach.this obsession with GORAS will never end..

These westerners are too polished to say bad about anybody straight away. Its only when you get them angry mad that they will tell you what they think of you, and usually that's very unpleasent and upsetting to hear.

generally indian films are so good, with songs fight, romance, comedy altogether, thatswhy, it impresses all not only stallone.
Hello Madam Nithya Ramani why don't you cook some bindi masala and watch Zee TV serial which you must be good at. Mr. Sajid Nadiadwala can eat some Mumbai thali meals and watch Action mirchi masala hindi movie... Why waste time in talking some crap.
How silly people are these days...Save our country lord!

There are many north indian kids here who bring rajni into whatever article that is being posted. Please grow up and stop being jealous of rajini. None of your stupid bollywood heroes can match up to his success. If you dont beleive me go to wikipedia.org and check the box office collections of his films which you can only dream of in bollywood. and finally please grow up.

Wikipedia is written by normal people and of course some abnormal people like the ones who wrote about Rajni. Check Encarta and try to find rajni the sajni there.

Dumb like this LPY Dnt have an Open mind to accept things No point in explaining Rajinis Ability THEY WILL NEVER EVER UNDERSTAN TAMIL CINEMA WHERE SKILL IS APPRECIATED
Please dont degrade Indian Movies... I recently read satyajit ray's view on Indian movies. I was very moved by his insight.
Fact is Indian people dont have too many means of entertainment. We dont have live action sports, we dont have too many popular music concerts, we dont have culture where everyone goes to club to shake a leg.. We dont have standup comedy culture. An Indian movie is the single medium of entertainment... If you love dancing, music, action, comedy everything, you have have means or opportunity to watch each one in pure form or atleast not in a popular form.. Indian cinema to many is lone medium of entertainment.
With this in mind try to understand how difficult it really is to get a mixture of everything and in a very artistic manner. Hence in yesteryears Govinda was successful and in these days Akhsay Kumar is, tomorrow someone else will be there..
These people are here to entertain every breadwinner in the country and not just a few connoiseurs of art. So you might once in a while see a gem but rest will be run of the mill entertainers.
Sorry to break this to you... but you live in India :)

Borrow inspiration...watch Titanic and get inspired to make a film on Bhopal Tragedy. Watch Lord of the rings and get inspired to make Ramayana. Watch French, Italian and Spanish films and get inspired to make simple stories about complex human mind. Watch Iranian films and learn how to make a colorful film.

Rajneesh,
I don't necessarily agree with you.
I'll tell you why.
During the 1950's, 60's, 70's and even 80's, India as a whole (in any language) saw the best of the films. The graph is going down and down and it has gone below the abyss.
The point is, we have a veriety of entertainment than any other country in the whole world. Even if I make a small list without googling, it can be long...Karanataka Sangeeta, Hindustani Sangeeta, Ghazals, Khathakkali, Bharatanatyam, Kuchippudi, Yakshagaana, Poetry, Theatre and mind you India has the most amazing collection of stories. Starting from Mahabharatha to the recent booker nominee Arvind Adiga.
Please, please don't patronize the film industry. What they have done is horrendously wrong and not forgivable. They have taken us for granted. And unfortunately, we Indians have forgotten to stand up and say 'hey, you give me something good or I won't take it'.
There's one more problem with we Indians, when it comes to films. That is, it's not an original art form of India. There's absolutely nothing wrong in borrowing the good from anywhere on earth.
Especially when it comes to art, you are supposed to borrow the technology, the inspiration and possibly the art itself. But we have done none of it. Instead what we have borrowed is their stories and turned them into something of a joke.
Borrow their technology...HD, Animation, VFX, Advanced color correction, Advanced lighting equipments, advanced grip equipments
