Thats the point...Kannadigas never do hero worship like U guys, It will be a hit no doubt, bcoz its meant for stupid people and there are a lot of them over there to make that a Hit, The original Malyalam movie was a hit not bcoz of Mamooty as he was just a character in the movie and Malyali's made the movie hit bcoz of the story, but here U have an extended cameo of Rajanikanth just bocz Tamils dont have that calibre to understand a good story, they just go to see the antcis of Rajanikanth..definitely Kannadiga's dont make a movie hit just bcoz some hero is there.

Anand I could not help laughing loud....Tamil techies??? nonsense, there are very few tamilians in tech world and more in slums, and doing jobs like brewing and selling illicit liquor... as Kumar has said, this is the heights of Tamil Ego that stretches beyond imagination... BTW, U said Rajkumar acted with one Divya...who is it??? at least we dont know that, this is another lie U R spreading and this prooves to what extent a Tamilian can stoop to hide his shortcomings and ready to talk bad about others... The distribution amount for KN area is a mere 1.5 crores. He acted in Tamil and Telegu versions. But he did not act in Kannada version. That is because if he has acted in Kannada version, he could not even have got 1.5 crores. This clearly shows that very few Kannadigas watch his movies unlike claimed by him.

Kannadigas are not movie craze like tamilians or andhrites. However, Kannada movies are so bad in their output that even Kannadigas hate to watch their own films and turn to other language films like Tamil.

Then why just 1.5 crore distribution right? Any avarage hit movie in Kannada will easily earn 10 crores. A super hit earns more than 20 crores. This year alone, there are 6 to 7 movies which have earned close to 10 crores.

Bliss, wake up, Kannada movies these days are far beyond what U think they are, there are great movies coming these days with good story, songs and all other aspects, or else people from other industries would not remaking them... specially Rajanikanth, his son-in-law, Vijay would not be coming here too often to watch them and asak for remake rights..There would not be movies winning national awards regularly.. what U R saying is all old, so say something sensible.Only difference Kannadiga's dont brag like Tamilains about their movies so all good work get unnoticed, wheras tamils keep projecting their movies are great even if they are less than mediocre take for example Shivaji. They remake a film like HUM as BAASHA and never claim it as a remake, they speak as if they have made a very original film, even Kuchelan has been promoted as if it is the next best thing in the industry, when the fact is it is a remake...similarly th hyped films like Billa,Chandramukhi, Pokiri...they project them as if they are originals... but Tamilians are the first to label Kannada industry as doing remakes, when the truth is Tamil churns out more remakes than any other industry...

Now a days kannada movies are doing very good in all the aspects like story, Music and the new faces.Now kannada music has become so craze, not only for kannadigas but for even Non-kannadigas too.Most of the tourist places in karnataka are being visited by young boys and girls especially North Indians, who are studying in Karnataka.

kannada film industry does not permit any other language films to be dubbed into kannada.
Has anyone till now heard of a kannada dubbed tamil/telugu movie ...NO ....thats how they formualate rules, so that the local talents can florish.
hence its not possible for rajni to act in a kannada version.

The Bollywood actress JUHI CHAWLA's first movie was "PREMALOKA' in kannada, produced and directed by Ravichandra. The songs and the film were superhit.The same movie was also dubbed in TAMIL (Sorry i don;t; know the name in TAMIL), which was super hit also.

Idot, there are plenty of mivies that get dubbed in Tamil...even crap movies of Thriller manju, Saikumar which dont run even for a week in Karnataka are dubbed in Tamil and are released in Tamilnadu, when ever I vist Chennai, I have seen lot of Kannada movies dubbbed in Tamil, so whats that U R saying??? Anand... U have showed how exactly the Tamil mind functions... propogating lies... U guys are big liers..
so many things have been written about Rajini ( Less Good and More bad). one thing sure is that Rajini don't want to hurt both Tamils and Kannadigas. But unfortunately both were affected by his statements and interviews. in this board itself so many people curse him for what he is doing the past few days. To some extent they are true, that he has changed his mind and had written an apology in Kannada. i have some reasons one or many of them persuaded him to write the letter.
1. First of all movies are business and so many people depend on the film industry. he don't want them to be affected. 2. He is clear that Film has to be universal ( put it as business or service ), hence don't confuse it with his speech. 3. Think about his stance... everything is blown out even it is a good deed. 4. About his family, friends and other people who were related, living in Karnataka. 5. He is not the one who would do anything for money. It is his supporters, producers and Distributors, who need money. They earn it thru Rajini ( be it in Karnataka and Tamilnadu).
Finally it is his life and he will live it to his wish. IF you don't like him please... please... don't read anything about him and stop quoting.

It is common that people will interfere in anyone's life if he portrays himself a living legend.
All the comments he made about a public problem not his own and the same "super star" said he never minds if his movie not released in Karnataka and added that this would be the loss for Karnataka people not for him. Then why this upside down begging? This is not new to him. His voices in political climate are so famous.

very well said Mr. Vijay baskar.... i too feel the same as you. Please in both states would unnecessarily fight because of this. He did very well by stating this as a letter to Kannadigas in Kannada... one thing for sure they will cool down a bit since it was written in Kannada. I know they are very particular about the language.

Rajni is really a chameleon. by writing apology letter in Kannada he is favouring Kannadigas. This guy only told that he is not going to lose anything if his movie is not released in Karnataka. Now why this man is begging for release of his movie in Karnataka he has to clarify this !
