I personally think that it's not possible to mess up the Joker character. You cant possibly say he could've done better or otherwise.. This character has no emotional range, no boundaries, he can do whatever he wants. The day he chose to draw inspiration from Alex in Clockwork that’s when the role became totally critique proof. I give him all credits for that.
So even if he forgets his lines, misses his queues, farts during the scene or fell clumsily flat on his face it all adds up to what the joker supposed to be in that movie. You could just take the bloopers out of the joker character and add em to the movie i'm sure they blend quite well. But i hope he has taken this character and made it his own sort of like Johnny depp’s Jack sparrow. We just have to wait and see.
Raja Sen has got to be one of most popular reviewers on rediff judging by the way the readers enthusiastically respond to his every article. You gotta give the guy some credit, he knows just how to push the right buttons to make the readers see red. And people love to hate him so much that they eagerly wait for anything he says which allows them to hate him even more. As a result they read most of the so-called reviews he churns out. Give the guy a doctrate in reverse psychology. I say 'so-called reviews' because most of them amount upto nothing more than his personal views and in no way help the readers decide if they want to watch the movie or not. Case in point: the review of 'Batman Begins', which was first to make me realize that reviews on rediff had become sorely lacking. And this article itself, what is the point? Heath Ledger is long dead, God rest his soul, and the Joker is among his final roles. IT is what he is going to be remembered for, no matter what. As for the last comment, please grow up Mr.Sen.

Yes, what if we're being fooled into believing that we are reading the work of a critic - but infact, he is a mumbling moron? What if he sits with Barron's and Norman Lewis nearby and chooses to dish out obnoxious phrases and adjectives to make a point highly incoherent and silly? What if he is not really Raja Sen, but a fictitious character made up from thin smoke to torture and dent the lives of our dear readers with his insipid and completely neanderthal approach to writing? What if he is Raja Sen, who likes making fun of his readers with " by the time you read this column, I'll have seen Dark Knight. Na-nyah-na-nyah-nyah."?
Come on, guys. So much venom is not nice. Raja Sen happens to be the best reviewer of Indian films, for me. If you don't like his reviews, just don't read them. Why do you need to go to the extent of asking everyone to stop reading or post bad comments? Raja Sen said himself in this very column that a review is just an opinion. An opinion cannot be wrong..ever. In case you think he gives away too much of information from the film, just do yourself a favor. Don't read his reviews. Let the rest of rediff readers like me enjoy the reviews/columns or be the scapegoats for reading the giveaways.

Yup, I think his reviews aren\'t all that bad..he comes up with a refreshing perspective now and then..he does come across as being a tad self-opinionated at times, but what the heck!! he\'s a critic, ain\'t he? it\'s part of his job!!
Rediff, please, as a fan we beg of you... please dont let raja sen review the dark knight. we would like someone with brains to do it. Raja if ure reading this... please... for the sake of humanity, stop punishing us by reviewing movies. You're not wanted here, see all the messages. dont u get it?
Some of you may remember the poor quality of the review this jerk turned in (spoilers and all) for 'Batman Begins', just for the sake of sensationalism (pun unintended). Somebody mentioned below that he doesn't read this idiot's columns but makes it a point to read the comments. I'll take this one bit further and request all of you guys to not only avoid reading any material posted by this self-serious non-writer, but also refrain from posting any comments. Rediff tracks readership by comments too, and to them the magnitude of the readership or comments counts more than the quality of the article. Stop reading/commenting on this guy's columns and let him bleed to a slow professional death. Let this be the last post for this one. Feel free to forward this post to the comments section of other articles 'authored' by this moron.
