We are emotional fools.

I too have thought this point a lot. Once a person dies, people are afraid to talk bad about him.
Actually Heath might have given a great performance, and I will be very happy to see a good movie. But still wat if he dint.
And another thing is this guy did not die on some accident or doing some sacrifice. We should not have soft corner on him because he died in wrong way.
I can give you real incident on why we should not feel bad about his death. I had a college senior who always use to drink and drive and use to drive harshly. He had many accidents but he escaped every time. And many people use to think him as a great hero, becuase he escaped death so many times. but it was not so, the last accident in which he died, he killed a pedestrian and took few of his friends also with him to hell.
Whenever someone talks about that accident and say "hope he dint do it that day", I only wished if he would have died long time before.

U r sick. What if he die of drug overdose don't talk lightly about someone's death. Don't compare some drunk senior who killed some friends and pedestrians to Ledger he killed himself and never hurt anyone else. So shut up and get lost.

first thanks that u proved my title correct. then next, even first when my senior met with my accident he hadn't hurt anyone, so wished he would have died that time itself, and third, why shouldn't i compare these 2 people, both died of their mistakes, that too very bad examples.

You're the fool here, who cannot even verify facts. Ledger died on an "accidental overdose" of prescription drugs (also known as medicine not drugs like cocaine etc.). He had trouble sleeping. All the pills he took had been "prescribed" by a doctor (hence "prescription drugs") to combat his insomnia. It wasn't suicide, it wasn't substance abuse. It was an accident, so we should feel sorry for him, you oaf. He had an infant daughter, and had he known this would have happened, he would have been more careful.
That's why you shouldn't compare him to someone who was totally irresponsible (like your senior).

I don't read Raja Sen's Column but always make a point to read the replies to his column, which shows the anger in the rediff readers regrading him & I myself earlier also had made a request to Rediff.com to stop this Nonsense named Senterfold

If you like reading comments, you can thank Rediff for the message board. Just stop bashing the reviewer for the reviews that you haven't even read.

One grain is enough to check if the rice is cooked, U dont need to watch the movie the trailer was enough to tell how good Heath ledger is. There is no question he wud be awesome and surely deserves an oscar.

I dont think Heath Ledger will mess it up...

I can understand one fact from the writing of RAJA SEN, that he is as eagerly awaiting 'The Dark Knight' as I am. And he is going to come out with a review of 4/5 atleast. The purpose of writing this article, i believe, is to not sound Biased, when the review finally comes out.

As for THE DARK KNIGHT, it has premierd at NY, and is currently enjoying a 89% fresh reviews at ROTTENTOMATOES.COM.

Justifyin???
by holydevil on Jul 16, 2008 04:02 PM

I think Raja here just wants to justify that he is not going to rate this movie correctly....so that people dont blame him when his stupid review is out...Cmon raja people no longer read ur review and decide whether to go for teh movie or not....rather i wonder when did they ever do that!!! understand??? so better save ur skills (???) to write teh review....and not a justification beforehand!!!!!

Raja bhaiya is so ignorant!!!!!
by gagan arora on Jul 16, 2008 03:18 PM

He should have known the fact the preview screening of the movie has already been done, final verdict regarding ledger's charisma has already been termed one of the best work of hollywood in long time, even jack nicholson wouldnt have any complaints of being next in line in greatness with which these roles have been played by these two actors. But, on posthumous roles, people do tend to get emotional while reviewing, but his work has been rated so credible that finally he outshined batmam altogether.............
but raja bhaiya is so ignorant, dint even bother to check net before wasting a space over net,... :)

We just need to accept a simple fact - that Ledger died of a drug overdose, naked and alone in a motel room. It does not automatically mean, he died preparing for the role and that he deserves our sympathies for the same.
It is not exactly bollywood that actors do parts in 5 movies at a time. So if Ledger over prepared as is being sympathetically proposed, too bad he failed to take the pressure.
To me this is not any less gimmicky than Aamir Khan living the character of his upcoming movie. As someone once said, 'method actors must try acting for a change'.
Anyway, I wish Ledger's performance shapes up well.

hey, just to inform you the shooting for The Dark Knight was wrapped up by November 2007.
Late Heath Ledger passed away in Janunary 2008 in his apartment. Moreover the co-actors have told that he was quite a normal person between takes. So it is definitely not over-doing 'JOKER' that took toll on him, it was an accidental prescription drug overdose. The fact that a GEM of an actor is lost, makes THE DARK KNIGHT all the more hyped.
