Greate..... Greate realy it is like mere mooha ki baat aap ne chin lee thank god the people like you yet to be live in india or i thought all keep their brain aside
Everything seems too westernized (Greek/Roman/gladiatorial) such as the costume, footwear, armour, etc and not at all Indian. On the sets I observe a lot of electric lighting. Is all this what is called "artistic license/liberties". If yes then this is taking it too far. I just hope this will not spoil the true charm of Mahabharata. God, she has even changed the name of one of India's most sacred epics to "Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki." with a lot of extra "aa"s wherever her numerologist told her to!!! Please stop this insult. This is NOT "artistic license/liberties".

MAHABHARAT the two words means "MAHA" means BIG and "BHARAT" mean UNITED COUNTRYES now UNITED NATIONS. Ultimatly The meaning of MAHABARAT implies the Largest Martial Arts Battle ever happens in Asian/World History...see WIKIPEDIA
it is sad to say that ekta changes the meaning of MAHABHARAT by giving her own title...'kahani hamare mahabharat ki..' I may add that the meaning of ethic 'mahabharat' is "Great War' but not Great India= Maha Bharat. another thing, she ignored the classical costumes of all characters. I wish, if she has no knowledge of Indian Mythology, she should not make 'tod' and 'marod' of Holy stories.
I thought Ekta has already made bunch of Mahabharata's....anyways .. Intent is good and as daring as RGV's AAG ... one small mistake though... at least the characters could have been fresh faces and not the same bunch of chacha bhatija's jija's bhabhi's saas sasur, beta bahu's , mama maami's and what not. all the characters are already of part of great epics i would say kahan ghar ki n all ...to add to that the name itself 'kahani HAMARAAY Mahabharata' ki ??? don't know y hamaraay word was used ... its as if the EKTA Gang saying 'THIS IS OUR MAHABHARAT AND WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A MESS OF IT'?? moreover Mahabharata & Ramayana are more than just a Kahani ...but i know Ms Ekta cannot subside the K factor...i only hope that Ekta has not chosen the same bunch of writers which she uses for her other EPIC mythological serials.

Arre tumne to mere dil ki baat keh di...........Ekta already have Lots of Mahabharats.......where lots of shadyantars between bhai bhai....n so many big kurukshetra fightsv between bahu's.........in original Mahabharat finally Bhisham Pitama dies....but in Ekta's Mahabharat no Baaaaa dies LOL :-)

1 of these two will fit for the role of draupathi. They are Kareeana Kapoor or Aishwarya Rai B'cz these these heroiens are having affair with more than 5 boy frnds and 1 will defenitely suit the role of 'Draupathi' of Ektas Mahabharatha.

The last episode was terrific piece of work . Shame on u EKTA. U better go and see the BR Chopra's Mahabharat. Well its you story of MAHABHARAT as it is known as kahani hamare mahabharat ki, anything can happen like CHEErharan in an open ground, shakui like the oen as shown in KAAL MAHAKAAL with black lipsticks. ALso only who told u that there was only a single colour to wear that is black fro the male. and VEd VYAAS was looking like a Jungle boy........................terrible to see and DRAUPADI was saying CHup rah mein apne pati se baat kar rahi hoon to DUshashan.

Our country has officially three names. 1. Bharat - named after King Bharatha, son of Shakuntala and her forgetful husband - Dushyanth - a time considred e the early episodes of the Mahabharatha.
2. India is from the Greek name for word Indica which got corrupted over centuries from Sindhu valley civilisation.The Greek civilisation had it's influence in 300 and 200 BC in our sphere. 3. Then comes the term Hindustan - the place where Hindus lives. This undoubtedly gives food for thought. All other ...stans in our area are Pakistan, Khyrgstan,Afghanistan,Khazakstan,Uzbezekstan. I am sure you would have guessed by now how we got our name has Hindustan by now.
Also as an aside, Hindu Khush does not mean a Happy Hindu; it means a place where the Hindu is killed.

country got name as Bharath from the Emperor Bharath who ruled our land much before even Bhishma was born.There was always a concept of a country(unlike what our sickular guys want to say).That was the reason for Emperor Yudhisthira to perform Rajasuya Yaga and integrate the entire country. Ofcourse sickular people will tell you that mughal barbarians first united the country
