Duh, b.c other people ovr here ar either not interested in acting and ar not actors, so we have jobs in other professions.

Its easy for imran to accomplish his goals, since he wnts to work in cinema and he wnt to acting school. With the help of another family mmber who is alrdy an expert, he got the help easily. Sure he did not the job easily, bt obviously the help and advice ws right on his doormat all the time.

If big-b admired imran is b.c he knows abt acting more thn us viwers. We viewrs ar ther just to watch the film and if he don't like it, whts wrong in sayin the film is bad or the actor is bad. After all money is being spent from our pockts too.

So the connection ur making between viewers and imran in terms of accomplishmnts is poles apart. You're jst a crazy girl fan and thts ok, but ur speech is really wierd.

Calm down, don't gt too excited.

1. Basic storyline: Nuvve Kavali
2. Paresh Rawal mannerisms/dialogue delivery: Kshana Kshanam
3. Naseeruddin Shah’s comedy in portrait – Gang Leader and other telugu films
4. Scaring goons by saying that heroine has AIDS – Gudumba Shankar
5. Airport climaxes – innumerable Telugu films starting from Toli Prema

Even its a better option. Watch One movie or Watch 5 movies to have same essence. lol. Your comment is nothing but inferiority, narrow mindedness and regionalism.

Grow up man...Be united.....n do praise for wat is good....coming out of your narrow minded thoughts.....

Well...there must be something to Hindi films that makes them have millions more viewers than Telugu, Tamil films etc. Maybe Hindi films just do it better.

Anyways good luck with your southern movies, I'm off to watch this one again...

Jai Rathore of Ranjhore...this is Puttindies Easwaran from Tanjore...Don't be so mean slapping us with your "majority logic" here. Imagine an American (or even a Chinese) doing what you just did to you. Best of luck for your second time but let people express their angst...

Sachin, don't hoodwink people by this everything-originated-from-South-movies logic. You know there are only seven story lines ever...every story ever told is a derivative of one of these story lines.

The trick is in the treatment. God is in the details. I know Telugu and Tamil movies can make a lot of genres better (such as action, caper) but RomCom...NO WAY!! Leave that to Hindi.

First, the heroes, with their unshaven look, stupid costumes, dont want to pass off as boy-next-door.

Also, all Tamil and Telugu ensemble casts HAM their way through RomCom's like these (ChandraMohan, Manivannan, Vijayakumar, et al) and make the "collective" experience torrid.

I thought this movie went with a simple story, different treatment, great music, fresh faces with great performances...and it worked for the most part...

So allow a smile on your cynical face and cut your great North-South analysis. It is boring, hackneyed...and inaccurate (Dasavatharam was made on a budget of 60 crores and not 100).

BTW, I amde the the seven story lines thing.

This movie is lifted from Niram- the Malayalam movie..

There is a saying.. it's better to fail being original than suceed copying. Shame on Aamir.

I think then they shouldn't write the name of the story writer, instead of this they should write "copied" hahaha!
But yes I'm not fully agree with your point becoz the mass audience has a write to watch a good story becoz they not going to watch a dub original movie whose hero and heroin they can't recognize!!
We have seen this experiment in "Sholey" which has taken its storyline from western classic "Once upon a time in west" and copied its seen from another classic western "for a few dollars more"!! But "Sholey" rocked the Indian cinema and changed its destiny becoz audience applauded a brilliant story!!

Remake
by Guest on Jul 05, 2008 04:41 AM  | Hide replies

Personelly I don't feel its wrong if something has been remake or copied, Why we guys don't understand that movie maker spend a huge amount from their coffers to entertaint people even without a second thought that they might loose it, So just go and watch the movie if you afford it.

JTYJN-See it only for the music.
by Joel on Jul 05, 2008 02:16 AM

If you loved the music, thn go watch this movie to see how the music is placed into the movie.

But, tht's about it otherwise thers nothing new in JTYJN or LS2050. Just go in for the music for both films, if you liked one or the other's music.

I spend 180 rupees in a multiplex ticket, went with my GF, but turned out to be total waste. People were yawning, i felt like time was so slow and felt very heavy. As soon as movie ended, it was big relief. I watched JOhny gaddar on DVD at home, feeling much better now.
