He was a very different type of actor... thrashed all the traditional hero concepts in Malayalam films, gave life to many great characters in the films, executed all of them with great perfection.. he did the same even with "Nivedyam", which was released in 2007. A great actor, this is a great loss to Malayalam film industry.. Good bye sir, may your soul rest in peace....

I am a great admirer of Gopi's acting, having seen him first in a couple of hindi films, and later in malayalam film.
In one movie which I remember vaguely titled as journey, where in the very last scene, he comes upon a woman whom he had previously wronged. Having read the story before, I wondered what kind of facial expression he would project, and imagine me being mightly surprised when he simply gazes at her and looks up to the temple gopuram. Truly, he was a actor who could satisfy the critic and the ordinary movigoer.
May his soul rest in peace and condolences to his family members.

A truly talented actor,i can never forget his amazing performance in "yavanika" and direction in ulsavapittennu..May his soul rest in peace.
