Awesome Movie
by on Jan 25, 2008 08:44 PM

I need to admit that its' fun to read Raja Sen's review everytime..be it OSO, TZP and now Rambo..

This is a must watch for all Rambo fans(I definetly am)..OK..agreed Stallone is not 20 nemore but you got to watch this coz I think its difficult to be in that shape when you are 61..and I have seen all Rambo movies umpteen times and this latest is probably right up there.

Mr.Raja Sen, I really wish that you come with ur crap movie soon(I'm sure you would make all the efforts that rediff doesnt publish the review of your movie)...Do you really see all the movies or as someone said..u just read reviews from rottentomatoes etc...

Get a life you moron

Raja Sen is out to lunch....the movie may suck but his style of writing reviews (did he actually say Rajnikanth in Blood Diamond, what a mallu) is deteriorating with each review.

HE IS A EVERGREEN SUPER ACTION HERO OF THE WORLD
by Akash Sharma on Jan 25, 2008 08:20 PM

SYLVESTER STALLONE IS GREAT ACTION HERO. HE IS A ONE MAN ARMY OF ALL TIME ACTION HERO COMPARABLE TO BRUCEE LEE AND ARNOLD SCHNEGR. HE IS IN TOP 5 HANDSOME AND FAVOURITE ACTION STAR IN 80'S AND EARLY 90'S. A TIGER REMAINS TIGER IN OLD AGE. HE CREATED TWO INVINCIBLE, DETERMINANT AND ASPIRING ICONS JOHN RAMBO AND ROCKY BALBOA. ALL PERSONS WHO DID NOT BELIEVE HIM ARE TOTALLY IDIOTS, BUNCH OF JOKERS, HAVING NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MESSAGE IN HIS TRUE CHAMPION MOVIES. HIS MOVIES ARE WORTH VALUABLE. FLOP MOVIES DID NOT LOWER DOWN THE WORK AND CRAZE OF SUPER STAR. NOTE THIS.

Rambo: my review
by on Jan 25, 2008 08:06 PM

I was three when I first saw John Rambo drifting along the road, to Delmore Barry%u2019s house, seeking the only remaining member of his Special Forces unit. When he unsuspectingly walked up his widow, with the faintest of smiles, little did he know what that road awaited him. Neither did me, and as years passed by that image still remains one of the most clearly etched memories of mine. People might reduce, and classify what ensued to a rather common tag %u2013 a super rocking series, which last hit us twenty years back. I would think otherwise; this series was much more than simply the ultimate action trilogy of all time.
And that was then.
In the meantime, the action genre as we knew it, is slowly dying amongst a plethora of wussy poor excuses. There%u2019re some films trying to revive it and all, but the ultimate period for them was the 70s-80s. Those guys kicked posterior, and I mean real bad. No one can even stand up to them, not even the supposed superheroes. There sure is one relic named Jason Bourne, but he can only do so much. These bad guys are ruling the roost making action films for toddlers, and families, with fake explosions and hoping they could get the same share of audience as the next Drew Barrymore romance.
And that is now.

Well, John Rambo is back. And with him is Sylvester Stallone, w

Take it easy dear Raja.

Raja Sen, dear boy, how dare you even bother to analyse a franchise like Rambo? You might as well look for plot developments and finely etched nuances in an episode of Tom and Jerry. This is Rambo dude. One man vs. a police force (part 1) vs. a bunch of guerillas (part 2) vs. the entire russian army (part 3). Please leave the movie alone for us fans to enjoy and say goodbye to a hero who's enthralled us for decades. Save your intellectual ho-haa for some other poor film.

Guys. Remember this is not a SRK movie. In rediff parlance on one side there are movies made by SRK and his team of brilliant directors like Farha Khan et al and on the other side there are movie ATTEMPTS by some bunch of un"cinema"ly guys like Stallone, Eastwood et al. And Rambo-"kant" --- GAWWWD give us a break !!

There goes our LAST ACTION HERO!
by vineet kumar on Jan 25, 2008 07:35 PM

Our last and probably the only true action hero is now officially Done with. Stallone was good with Rocky Balboa, where action and the sentiments of the character went hand in hand, but this was a true waste of time, energy and money. Stallone should do what James Caan did, and turn from being an action star to a character star.
