From last 3-4 years he has been given 2-3 hits each year, but media is busy to show the hits of Khans only but truth never conceal. Its Alshay's efforts that he come back in bollywood on his efforts only and noe getting big banners like Watner Bros alike any bollywood star. All ur Akshay Kumar delivering are films lacking quality... If his action-based film succeeds, he will do an array of films on that stuff; similar the case in comedy... but, look at ajay devgan, sanjay dutt, etc... they didn't have that much hits as of akshay kumar; but, majority of their hits were PERFORMANCES, (munnabhai, vaastav, zakham, lejend of bhagat singh, omkara)... When is ur so-called akshay kumar did such a role.. All he's doin nowadays is brainless comedy; which becomes hits; but, howlong he can ? but, he's better than hrithik(who don't know how to act in comedy role).. They rate star more than the content of the movie and that's the reason TZP is going to earn only 1/10th of what Welcome will earn. Similar logic will apply to Legend of Bhagat singh which is one of fav, which lost everything to Devdas. I agree Aamir and Sanjay are ahead of Akshay in serious roles but when it comes to overall package and versatility its only Akshay. And yes dont compare Ajay with Akshay. Just by doing a couple of gud films he cant match greats like Akshay, Sanjay and Aamir. Aaamir cant do action, dance, comedy like Akshay, but Akshay cant do serious roles like Aamir. Sanjay cant dance or do action like Akshay and Akshay cant have style of Sanjay.
