Jodha Akbar is a better film than OSO Ashutosh Gowarikar is a better director than Farah Khan Hrithik Roshan is a much better actor than SRK Jodha Akbar music is better than OSO.
All in all, Jodha Akbar is a meaningful and sensitive movie; OSO is meaningless and crap.

Jodha Akbar is a fictional historical... OSO is a farcical take on Bollywood cliches.. Both are well made movies.. Don't be a moron and compare apples and oranges...

The films cannot be compared, but the compentance shown by the persons involved with the films can certainly be compared.
Jodha Akbar has been better directed than OSO. Hrithik did full justice to his role in Jodha Akbar; SRK overacted in OSO and better actor could have played the role better.
OSO could have been made a much better film but that did not happen because of poor direction and poor acting! Compare OSO with Karz and Karz will win hands down any day. A plot very similar to that in OSO had been handled in much more skillful manner in Karz!

why do you compare srk with hrithik. no doubt he is a good actor but he dosnt stand anywhere near srk. you cannot compare victoria memorial with tajmahal

Hey Anjum! You sound like one of the best and die hard fans of SRK!! "Hrithik doesn't even stand a chance against SRK"??? very funny.. a real fan though...

by Akshay Rudraksha on Feb 19, 2008 02:20 PM
Hey Guys I am agry with Anjum. Hrithik is more better Actor than SRK!!. The simillar kind of moview ASHOKA was there and we all now the film was not at all meeting the expectations even though the story was good. Jodha Akbar is simillar movie but because of Hritik's Performance it is going to be HIT. Now Krishi Compare these Actors and tell me who is better.

anjum faish- i thk u`ve lost it ... acting dosent mean doing palyboy roles in late 40`s like srk does.. acting dosent mean going to college and impressing girls at late 40`s
thk before u speak....i know only ppl like u can like srk for this.... over hyped - over guddie and over estimated actor india has ever produced
and u r comparing him with taj mahal...he is not even closer to HR

WHATEVER YOU CAL SRK , YOU JUST TAKE OUT THE PERFORMANCE RECORD OF THEM LEAVE THE RAKESH ROSHAN MOVIE HRITHIK WILL HAVE ONLY 2 GOLD COIN. Well said, I feel sorry for all those fanatics in the hindu community who cant tolerate peace between hindus and muslims. This movie is a win for secularism.

Secularism is a beautiful and dignified word that exists only on paper. You will find absolutely NO BODY who truely practices 'secularism' as defined in the dictionaries. Those who claim to do so are FAKE!
Watch %u201CJodhaa-Akbar%u201D as a splendidly spiced-up slice of history. Or just savour the chemistry between the warrior and the princess, with hundreds of junior artistes, elephants, rabbits and parrots accompanying the couple%u2019s journey from secularism to eternity.

A doctrine allows decent human beigs to coexist without the evil fangs of religious hatred and bigotry. Secularism is the greatest asset of India and religious fanaticsm the biggest threat.

There is not one human being on earth who meets the so called definition of the word secular.
Human mind is biased. We are biased towards whatever we belong - ourselves, our family, our community, our religion, our country,... The word secular is just a definition on paper. There are no human who TRUELY practice the so called secularism! Those who claim to do so are obviously fake!
There is now where comparision between the OSO and Jodha Akbar.OSO is just a high profiled glamorous and meaningless movie with lots of over acting, where as Jodha Akbar is well defined wonderfully acted as well as directed movie with power pack performance by both the lead actors as well as support actors, and Ashutosh is at his best as always.Though story is not that gud and too lenghty but still better than OSO. If you can afford to watch OSO than Jodha Akbar is magnificient of its class.
RE:it is really useless to compare both the flims
by taju begum on Feb 19, 2008 01:22 PM
i completely agree, may be on commercial scale u can comapre both movies but at the creative level, OSO cannot stand anywhere near to JA.
RE:it is really useless to compare both the flims
by roshan ninan on Feb 19, 2008 01:55 PM
i fully agree with you. we cannot compare OSO and JA at all as OSO is fully a masala oriented film while JA is a style in its class. We cannot compare SRK and HR. Both have different unique styles of acting.

by suchorita dutta on Feb 19, 2008 01:42 PM
Jodhaa Akbar is calss apart frop the crap OSO which is a mere exercise in hedonistic pleasure and money minting...

OSO is NO COPMARISON to JHODHA AKBAR, it is a well made movie and belongs to meaningful cinema, which will b long remembered by the audience. OSO was a crap thrown to public by Farah and SRK, it got audience due to failure of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

THE BEST FILM EVER MADE IN THE LAST 10 YEARS! WE NEED SOMEBODY LIKE ASHUTOSH!!!!! HRITHIK IS DEFINITELY ROCKING AS AN EMPEROR!!! SETTINGS ARE A TREAT TO THE EYES! THIS IS A CINEMA, HISTORIANS SHOULD BE AT LIBRARIES AND CLASSES!

People like u who don't know the A B C of movie are comenting on movies and performances. I think u r a die hard Mithun fan. Go n watch his movies. This kind of movies r not meant for u.
In a Class of Ten Commandments and BENHUR, this movie is indeed LARGER THAN LIFE. I felt as if I am time traveller and witnessing the LEGENDS IN MAKING.
Hollywood has lot to learn from us, for sure.
GREAT GUNS TO ASHUTOSH, HRITHIK, AISHWARYA AND EVERY MEMBER OF ENTIRE UNIT. BRAVOOOOOOOOOOO.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO RATE ON COLLECTION BASED RATING, JA WILL DEFINITELY CROSS OSO COLLECTION. I THINK JA IS FAR BETTER THAN OSO. COMPARING HISTORICAL MOVIE WITH IDEALESS MOVIE IS SHEER NONSENSE.
