One of his more memorable characters - Popatlal! Often he took the ground away from actors like Dev Anand and Shammi Kapoor. He wore very English clothes, and he loved cracking jokes on himself . Wonderful actor. If the role did not have enough meat, he let it alone and did not overdo, but where there was scope, he gave it all - action, smile, dialogues, laughter, style, and colours.
yes-a man who belonged to agreat descent chain of comedians like bhagwan, mukri, bhagwan, mahmood, keshto mukerjee, dhumal etc.this chain was destroyed by heroes who portrayed themselves as a hero, villian, comedian etc.this no doubt was started by this brat BIG B.earlier we had movies having a comedian, villian, vamp and a hero and all made us to enjoy movies by their acting.now a hero is a mafia, don, killer, kidnapper and play comedy too and this resulted to eclipse of real entertainment.still we term big b as the greatest--a shit---lalit kumar

May his soul rest in peace,he was reaaly a naturally gifted actor, i loved his acting in "jhuk gaya aasmaan" and others movies. Rajendra ji bhagwaan aapko shaanti pradaan kare. BUt its sadder tht ppl like lalit kumar dont let go any chance of spitting unnecessarilly, these comments on Big B is totally uncalled for.

You are right Shashi. Unfortunately the world will never be free from people like him who make unnecessary statements and hurt people cause these kind of people never achieve anything in life and are always jealous and hurt on other people's achievements.
May god give these kind of people some peace so that they let others live with peace.
