Either he has to go to a rehab center or we have to take drugs to understand his review.

Raja Sen - mat ghabrana tere peeche sara jamana....
by kamal asif on Feb 08, 2008 03:45 PM

Shabana Azmi once said and i quote ' we Indians have a problem of having far more opinion than information'.The readers are proving it write, instead of calling some one Bong,Bihari,Bhaiya and so on so forth..I would like to suggest that readers should write their own reviews in response/answer to Raja sen or who so ever.Till then Raja Sen amt ghabrana tere peeche sara jamana...

Boring review
by Piyush Joshi on Feb 08, 2008 03:25 PM  | Hide replies

I am good at english vocab, and I understood almost all the words that were being written in half of the review that I read.

But still, rediff needs to target the masses and make the reviews more interesting and structured. (sections like comments, story, character, spoilers, etc etc)...

I couldn't continue till the end of the review because I found the writer to be lost in his own thoughts (praising the movie) and completely oblivious to the actual readers.

Really a ridiculously pathetic job of providing information.

By "target the masses" do you mean that rediff
should aim at the lowest common denominator ?

How duh can you get !

Poor presentation
by nir d on Feb 08, 2008 03:08 PM  | Hide replies

Forget about the review ! Look at language he writes the review in. It appears very complex and very difficult to understand. Why do you need to use such heavy words ? Look at this line "Not just are such performers liable to overdo the histrionics in their overreaching attempts at reality, but often -- while inhabiting another character's skin -- there exists the possibility that playing the damaged could make us equally so."
It is not at all a good practice to write a sentence as long as this that too filled with some intricate english words. His review will hardly be read by readers just for the fact of poor presentation skills.

Raja bashing...silly....
by Abhiroop Banerjee on Feb 08, 2008 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

Raja Sen is one helluva experienced campaigner, and has seen and studied cinema more than most of us ever will. His opinions are respected across the film world, hindi AND regional. Just because he doesn't agree with you doesn't make him stupid. This forum is about the movie not the reviewer. Personal attacks against Sen are downright stupid, and most of you do it because others do it.

Only bongs will praise other bongs. they read ONLY writing by other bongs, and watch only films made by other bongs. Abhiroop is a loser.

I don't agree with Raja Sen. Specially when he plays SRK's unofficial publicity agents. But there is no need to attack Bongs. Get out of that narrow regional mindset. Language used in this review is bad, but I somehow agree with Raja on this review. By the way I am not Bong ;-)

Advice to Raja Sen
by GR on Feb 08, 2008 02:09 PM  | Hide replies

I think you should assume that your audience will have the vocabulary of a 10 year old and an IQ of a retard. Next time, write a review assuming such an audience. Atleast you won't get flamed for writing things that people can't even comprehend.

Maybe they'll flame you for your opinion. But thats a totally different story

You are absolutely right. Only good thing Raja has been able to do is the effect he has in all of us. No body is discussing about the movie, instead they all are busy bashing this fellow. Also, if you all all the comments are now having better spellings and grammer then before. Great going Raja Thanks to you.

ohh Fish.....wonder from which corner of the theater did Mr.Raja watch this so called Dream Project of Rajat Kapur, that he liked it!!!

good that im in hyd currently n watched the movie for as cheap as 35 bucks! if was in mumbai....fatka lagta! there are hardly 3 good jokes in this film........! I was amazed seeing "Mithiya, a film by rajat kapur" popping up on the screen before i realised that there is something called The End to this film!!!

Didnt understad what the film was all about during interval. and my friendly was calming me down saying arre such low budget films have interesting climax or some suspense revealed at the end. I wonder if something like that happened.

Seriously expected something like Bheja Fry kinda film...instead, got my bheja roasted! cud hear similar reactions from rest of the audience who were busy running out of the theater.

Hope to see a repeat of Bheja Fry from Rajat Kapur and co. the next time.

As expected our beloved Raja Da has once again flattered us with his command of so called good English, but still I will say rediff reviews are quite extent good, and I am not going to miss this one also (although nothing from the review has gone into my head).
Hats off Raja dada, next time atleast keep the dictionary below your bed while writing
