We need more directors like Mr. Kamat and he deserves all the credit for crafting this movie. I was moved by dombivli fast and expected more from this director. He is fulfilling my wish and I hope him lots of success in his future endeavors.
Yes Rediff only take pain to review only SRK movie or yash raj movie. they always lost to comment on background score, script, screenplay, which are equally important to grip the audience. Todays it is more important for a film not to loose grip on audiance. AAMIR is also an example of good movie, which crictics says average and audiance like so much. I think that good comment of audiance should be added in preview under the heading of "Audiance Comment". The review will be more precise and readers will get proper information about the movie. MUMBAI MERI JAAN IS GOOD MOVIE AND A MUST WATCH.
Even if I have not seen the movie, from the name of the director and star cast and if one has watched Dombivali Fast, one can expect a movie better than the normal masala movies for the subject. Even if it is not as expected keeping the subject in mind, if the directors approach is honest, we should patronage such movies when audience can spend money on normal masala movies.

I agree, this movie has given very less rating.. it deserve 4 stars.. visit indiatimes for more approapriate review. surprisingly indiafm has also rated it really good. Defintly a must watch.
I just walked out of the first show of Mumbai Meri Jaan and got to work to read your review on it. The first thing I did was rub my hands in anticipation to write a rebuke to your review.
All you have done in the review is the following - 1. Write the complete outline of the story of the film 2. Describe each character in detail 3. Say 2 lines in the whole review which would actually count as a 'review' rather than just an account of what you saw in the film 4. Then give the film 2.5 stars!
I would like to bring to your notice some issues here. I do not wish to challenge your abilities to understand a film as a medium and then write a review on it. I do not know your professional background to comment on any of the above. If you have been hired for this job, I am sure you must have something to show for it.
However, I am greatly dissapointed by your take on the film for several reasons. 90% of the words from the total word count of the review have gone towards narrating what happens in the film rather than actually telling us what you think of it. the latter is just 3 lines! When you say that the film is documentary-like, I would liek to say here that may be you didnt see the film! Have you actually seen it or someone just told you about it and you wrote on it. u r so right. I agree with wat u have said and i feel REdiff gives the worst reviews ever. they cat write a review at all.. maybe a small course for writing reviews is in order for the reviewer ???

if it is SHAH RUKH KHAN movie rediff will FIVE STAR rate i watch the movie it was good movie but i do not understand where paresh rawal said if any body kick you you should not kick back ( two hindu four muslim then it will multiply) but in reality every month there is bomb blast but never heard hindu blast bomb but MUSLIMS continue till today. it is CONGRESS policy do not hit back
guyz i watched phoonk and its rocking.its spine chilling scary.specially the second half is a rollercoaster ride . do watch it but dont watch the night show it will scare u to hell.
