Mumbai meri jaan was one of the most amazing films I have seen in recent past. It is because of people like you, some good movies which is worth a watch not seen by people. I think you should be only reviewing cotton candy movies.
the disclaimer to posting this message says: "Some abusive messages on this page were permanently removed". I hope these messages were all the filthiest and the foulest of abuses towards Nithya Ramani. I pity this person for having a thorughly sloshy and half-baked (sunny side up) brain. One wonders how you have even made it through actually daring to post such pathetic reviews.
What about the brilliant portrayal of roles, the un-ambiguous defining of those characters, the national sentiment, the crisp dialogues, the intertwining of multiple threads...all blatantly ignored (or, rather unprocessed in your brain?)
What you have done is, dissected the story (a bit), praised some aspects, and actually thrown in attitude with your decipherment that it is a watchable movie! How is this the aggregation of your thoughts (if any)???
I strongly wish that as an avid learner (which, I hope you are), you would attempt reading these comments and prompt a response.
i see some comments not appreciating the movie. i havent watched the movie, and am planning to watch it. the story is interesting. but puts me off that many amongst us here want the usual hindi movie which is: " action, comedy, entertainment, tragedy, family love thriller"
yeah - whatever that means - thats the usual explanation by directors that their movie is "unique love story" (it HAS to be a love story), and that this movie will be a "superhit" and "everyone" will love it.
pretty amazing that such brazen stupidity is even put up with!

Kindly understand the essence and the power of cinema which is not yashraj-ish or karan-joharish or entirely bollywood-ish for that matter, and which is not high on its glamour quotient, one which has a depth-wise perception on the content and crisp handling of simultaneuos threads, one which oozes umpteen amounts of wisdom and aligning forces. Kindly understand the profound thought and power that such cinema can unravel to usurp a surge of national sentiment (at least to tinker with our dead brains). Kindly do not hamper the good-will by rubbishing the movie.
will u ppl ever appreciate good sensible movies? y do movies like Aamir,Mumai meri jaan fails where as duds like welcome, hey baby becomes superhits? whats wrong with hindi movies audience??

gyanendra you are dumbass.
We know what reality is. So to refresh and relax we go to watch moives...so the moives without any meaning and full of crap is sometimes a lot better than movies with meaning as todays crowd is so full of other things to think about than good moives like these.

I too have the same question for the audience. Indeed its a billion dollar question.
I thought that post interval the film became so boring and cliched. It may be of some interest to folks in Mumbai but the rest of India will reject the film. UTV is getting predicatble in its Publicity tamasha..they did the same for Aamir too..Show the film to celebrities they KNow and who will praise the film to the sies and then quote them in newspapers as headlines..Come on get a life guys!! Audiences are fools but not that much. For Aamir they got taken in..most went to watch the film because of the hype and then were disappointed. It was TOTAL lift of CAVITE. For MMJ, the game is over. The film will in no way recover its cost..profit is out of question.

How can the rest of India reject the film..r they not aware of the train accident in Mumbai..n who r you to decide it..appreciate atleast for good stuff..

th rest of india is not aware of the blasts??!! pal, are you okay? need help? I think MMJ has done this to you..gone bonkers. We live ina world where the tv channels wont let us breathe easy for every little breaking news>>and the whole of India had live telecast to see of the bombings. just coz you are a part of MMJ doesnt mean you deny people their right to reject films..the intent of the film was to sensationalise..it was not to make a film as any other...and it failed. I prefer honest films not pretenders.

MMJ is is a very good film. Aamir too was a lovely movie. Just becoz u didnt like them doesnt mean they r not good. If u dont like good movies, then the problem is with u not these movies.
