and reading the comments below i think the maker of the movie has paid some one to praise the movie in blogs. the movie is very ordinary. If i give Welcome 6/10 then i cannot give more 4/10 for this movie. The first half is somewhat ok if you try to be positive about the movie, but the second half is really boring. I could hear a lot of alughs and cheers in the first half but the hall went into silence in the second half. People were leaving the hall in the second half before the completion of the movie.

this akshay kumar starrer film from the moment he meets kironn kher is actually a copy of jackie chan's movie 'lay rose' with similarities right up to the wedding, except that in the original lady rose gets her daughter married to her boyfriend, where as in this this film akshay gets to marry katrina. even the gangster track is similar to the original movie. though the film is not more than just a time pass, the director anees bazmee could have done better work with the script. editing,stunt,dance, song, choreography wise the film is good, buteverything falls flat when it comes to the storyline. katrina is actually wasted in the movie. ashay and the rest of the cast actually succeded in sleep walking through their roles. all in all this film is a one time watch.
what was going on in the movie even the director must have not known, is this what we get in the name of timepass entertainment. i dont know whether it was comedy,love story , crime film? in the middle ther was kiron kher's emotional track.
This movie it seems was intended to be a comedy but ended up becoming a farce---the theatre of the absurd.Absurdity has its own class of humour as in the climax of Jaane bhi do yaaro.But there it was intended.In this movie it just happened because of the moron filmmakers.
Hi frnds, Hvnt read ur opinions as yet but my personal views r dat d film is really dashing though d latter part was lil hushed up. But all in all, gud entertainment, akshay kumar luks superb all through in d movie &&&& controversies apart, he actually glorified d sikh community && shld be accepted in d film as representing them.
