I dont know why all the people thought this film about ramayan epic, see the above article the first line is "Ace director Mani Ratnam is all set to make a film based on the epic Ramayana",he will make a film based on the ramayan not he will make the film ramayan.he will make the characters according to ramayan,Like "thalapathy" In thalapathy he will take the characters of Karnan and dhuriyodhana and make the film in different scenario, like that he again will make the film based on ramayan characters. So dont put the msg like Aish is fit for sita or not
Why Mani Sir is always behind Abhishek. He does not suit for Rama's role as his face is dull. Ritik Roshan is having very good personality and he suits for this role. Aishwarya is OK for Sita's role.

I suggest Hirthik to do role of SITA.. as his eyes look to effeminate 4 me..Next time I suggest U better wear specs..
Ramayan should be produced in Hollywood with all spectacular special effects under a good director. can you people suggest hollywood stars which can make to the lead roles in this film?

Why don't you call them half covered? You can't expect aish to be like Sita to be eligible to act in that role.
Well, why's Maniratnam smitten with Abhi & Aish? They aren't any phenomenal actors. Quite mediocre,in fact. Mani could as well think of casting some more skilled actors like maybe Nandita Das or Konkana Sen(as Sita), Ajay Devgan(as Ram). His films usually showcase volumes of performance....But with such a boring cast(& repeatedly the same lead pair), he's soon gonna lose his fans. Come on, Mani Sir, we expect good cimena from you...

AARATHI......assuming you are a women from your name, just don't be so jealous about Ash! She is too perfect for any complaints. Well I do agree what you say about Abhi, but I see no one being apt for any particular role but for Sita. Sita must be a women with beauty and elegance and I am sure Ash will fit her roles perfectly and for Ram we need somebody who is well built, tall as well as who looks handsome, maybe Arjun Rampal. Definitely not Govinda for Hanuman, we need somebody who is super muscular and tall to play this role. Can't think of anybody at this moment. I don't know how Adithya Pancholi looks like these days, but if he remains to be the same Adithya Pancholi of yester years, then HELL NO!!!!

Well, Green Earth, you made an amusing observation. Just because I'm a woman, you think I have to be mandatorily jealous of Aish? Ha Ha Ha! I am big fan of her looks(like most Indians). Aish is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful faces to have graced the silver screen but it ends there. She is not good as an actor. And that's the only point I was trying to say here. Maniratnam could use more substantial actors....No personal feelings wrapped in my comments. I guess the rest of the responders could make sense of what I said. BTW, you seem to be jealous of Abhishek yourself!

By your comment I assume you are a man smitten by her roles in Umrao jaan and Dhoom which showcase her body which most definately is not the forte of Epic women like Seeta or Savitri. They dont need to showcase their body, its their character that mae them apart from crores of other women in the history. Does Ash speak of any personality? She is a flimsy female without any maturity. Have you seen her lately at the lakme' fashion show giggling like a teenager all along the show along with her husband, embarassing the models walking on the ramp along with her inlaws on the judjing panel.

Well tell one women in the film industry who is clean enough to do the role of Sita? Either they get nude/semi-nude on screen or off screen (I don't have to explain this in detail)...... I am not bothered much about it. What if the woman of your choice acts in some exotic scene after acting in this movie? Will you sue her for that? Don't jump guns here on a movie, its just a movie and all we need to think about is who fits the shoes for the particular role in question, and analyzing the past or future roles of the person acting as Sita is a total crap! So there!

I dont talk about the character of the person am talking about the personality. I personally dont have any favourites as you have mentioned, but I feel this ash is as light as burnt ashes. She does not have the weight in personality like the kajol or a rani or a konkana. Is is not even paper light, she is ash light.

At least Ash has won Miss World and that competition not just looks at the beauty but also measures the personality of the person. Anyways, I personally have no idea about the personalities of any of the actresses as I have known them only on screen and interviews, and I do not know any other Indian actress who is as popular as Ash in this world.
