Even though Nayagan was released in 1987, it still remains an epic film and is one of the finest films ever made in all of India. It is Mani Ratnam's best film. Mani's second best film is Kannathil Muthamittal.
I have always liked your movies because of the new look in every movie you have made. India looks beautiful in your movies. In your movie "Geetanjali" ooty looked so different from the one that I know. In Garshana (telugu) lighting is different. Mani sir please make more movies there are people like me who only see movies with good plot, screenplay, cinematography and background score.

His films were very good in the past, but of late the Ash-Abhi influences seems to overpower his focus on quality and perfection.

'Garshana' was the dubbed version of 'Agninatchathiram' starring Prabhu and karthik, a tale of rare relationships between two step brothers and their father. Dont miss the subtle elements like dialogue, lighting and situations in this film. It is a treat. Most of mani's older films were dubbed in telugu except Pagalnilavu (I thimk so).
