Amit doesn't have to win inorder to prove INDIAN IDOL a talent hunt programme.....Prashant as well is a very good singer...Prashant doesn't have any formal training but still he sings very well so he is a natural born talent and if he could get training he would blast every1.so,it is this that prashant is a natural born idol.
Also,M not tryin to like judge any1 but would like to put a question to wonder that
"If Amit had not had any formal training in singing then would he had been able to sing as good as Prashant?"....

its just nonsense talking what happened to past winners.at least there is one programme which has created interest among the masses.otherwise masses were compelled to see unintelligent soaps.in indian idol3 one funny thing is that last 3 top contestants were all from eastern part of the country.what has happened to rest of india?my firm opinion is that eastern india is more culture centric than rest of the country.my vote is for amit only because i love his versatility.

Is it talent search or marketing exercise?
by Desparado on Sep 18, 2007 06:01 PM

I am happy we have such talent search show in the country. But leaving everything to the voters will do no justice to the show. I am afraid it will end up as another commercial show. The judges should also have some say. No doubt both of them are extremely talented, though Amit Paul enjoys a slight edge over Prashant. But Sony, please don't make us feel that you are exploiting the innocent people of NE by this extreme commercialization.

Indian Idol 3 is now all set to be full of happenings. The last gala round was special in its own celebrity manner when the hot couple from bollywood Bipasha Basu and John Ebrahim attended the gala round.

Bipasha Basu supported Amit Paul, while John Ebrahim supported Prashant Tamang, though he seemed to be neutral supporter to both the contestants at the end of the show.

Amit Paul as usual rocked the show with his rhythmic, sensible and touching singing quality. For the very first time in the history of Indian Idol, Amit Paul received the standing ovation from all the four judges Javed Akhtar, Alisha Chinai, Udit Narayan and Anu Malik, when he sang song %u2018Bulla Ki Jaana Maen Kaun%u2019, the famous song of Rabbi Shergill. Amit Paul sang it so brilliantly that he made the song of his own, and at no point let the audience feel it was song of Rabbi Shergill.

dont forget he couldnt remember the lyrics of one of the songs he was supposed to sing. and plz get a hint of reality dude, this is FINALS and there shouldnt be any mistakes, just dont bring second thoughts on who is a better fighter as a finalist! hands down PRASHANT! althogh amit is a great singer, he took the gala round lightly- blame it on javed bipasha alisha, for pampering him like he is god! Guys take a look at reality, amit is talented but prashant is working 100 times more than amit to win this title, and hardwork pays!

Amit

It's strange how hidden talents find their own ways of expression and bloom with a fragrance - even when they were hidden in so faraway a place-literally- as the 'abode of clouds'-Meghalaya!
When he was a kid,Amit used to come to my place on weekends for math tuition, and little did we imagine that one day he would sweep everyone's feet away with his strong and lovely voice. One thing, though,I still remember his beautiful handwriting and his even more beautiful smile.
Here in Australia,we keep ourselves satisfied watching the videos of Amit's glorious exploits in Indian Idol 3,and how desperately we miss home to be in such exciting times!
Here's all my best wishes to you Amit!Let the 3rd INDIAN IDOL actually be a deserving and decent Shillongite!

Bappa,Perth.

Mitra le thik bhaneko jasto lagyo.
I mean to say you said right friend.
Dhotiharu Aru Agadi Badheko Herna Sakdainan.
I mean to say Indian people are oversentimental in race. They feel proud for Sunita Wiliam (whose hindi speaking is 100 times weaker than singing of Prashant) not for fighter like Prashant.
