NO ONE IN THEATERS WHILE WATCHING THE MOVIE... HOW COME IT IS NOT FLOP.............. IF A MOVIE MADE BY YRF IS FLOP, WHY THE MEDIA IS CLAIMING IT IS A HIT...........

aaaaawwwwwwwwkkkkk.............what a senseless movie.........don't they see their movies after making them.......if they do.......then they wouldn't release them..... ;) :D such waste of time.......i missed the first hour of the film.......but had no regrets later on......... :D :D
I think Rani, Konkona & Jayaji are great actresses well supported in this film by AB & Anupam Kher. They were superb in this film specially the ladies trio.But the overall plot was very poor.There were a number of missing links os loopholes whatever you say.If you rate a film as good then remove the good renowned actors & replace them with mediocre or rather relatively new ones & you still get a good response. eg Bheja fry.In this case sorry to say whatever will be the response will be because of acting but overall a poor film.

THAT THE MAIN TEACHING.
JUST GO AND WATCH THE MOVIE AND COLLECT AND REALISE ADVICES AND TEACHINGS FROM THIS MOVIE.
ITS REALLY A GOOD MOVIE. NICE TO SEE. ALL'S PERFORMACES ARE GREAT. SP. OF RANI N ABHISHEK, KONKONA, JAYAJI W/ BEAUTIFUL BENARAS AND PHOTOGRAPHY.
ALREADY ITS A HIT MOVIE, GOING TO BE A SUPERHIT.

ur producer may ask you to direct movies for his girlfriend,wife or keep,but as a professional YOU must dont like that.If you do any thing aganist professional ethics you will have to cry like this in every media ________WiFiBOLLYWOOD.COM
Mr Sarkar u take a story dats atleast 30 yrs backdated n expect ppl 2 accept it in dis time n age..even if ur cast delievers even if d editin is good...public wont accept d movie coz d basic theme is wrong.. Wat idea did u want 2 project..dat small city girls are good for nothing n can only sell their bodies 2 earn money..take a look around u..Benaras is not a small city 1st of all..n secondly even girls from Patna n Dhanbaad are educated enough to get a decent job n support their families single handedly...prostitution n human trafficking is definitely a problem all over d world bt was dis d way 2 put ur message across..you say dat ur movie was targetted at d women of age group 22-40 yrs..i am a 22 yr old girl and i was felt highly insulted ven i saw ur movie..i really couldnt understand wat kind of message u r trying 2 put across by makin such a backdated film.. Parineeta was such a soulful experience.. Dis trash wasnt expected of u Mr Sarkaar.

Rightly said Ms.Dutta. Indian females are capable of taking responsibilities without selling body. And we could see so many examples if we look around. Even my Grandma single handedly brought up three children by farming when her husband died 6 years after marriage. That also 60 years ago. Then why in 21st century we make films like this ? Shame on you Mr.Sarkar..

What an idiotic comment from pratiksha..didn't expeect this from a girl. The movie is superb and does represent the lives of thousand of girls. There is not a single 'bad' woman in the film.. in the steoreotypical way. HOw come just because a girl is shown prostituting ( did you miss the other girl who becomes a successful one in her own way ...hello !) does that mean he is insulting.. What is wrong with you women who educated miss out that there are 1.5 lakh prostitutes in Mumbai and they don't do it because they love it.. it is all circumstantial.

Moreover what do you think the literacy rate in India is??If its more than 95%...you can say the movie is insulting.....people in some parts of India are very poor and illiterate.Why do you think there is so many sex workers in the metropolitan cities??The plot might be 1970's but things like this still do happen.This clearly proves,mahal o raheni wali kya jane garibo ki dastan
